Publisher's Summary

""Kiss me. Just this once ... please, Walker."

Those whispered words were my undoing....

As the most hated player in baseball, I had two options: either clean up my image, or pack my bags. Being traded wasn't an option which only meant one thing, I had to become compliant.

That's how I found myself sharing a small bistro table with Kate Chapman, the Chicago Bobbies newest PR Manager. Devastatingly beautiful, vastly intelligent, and incredibly cunning, she knows exactly how to handle my grumpy demeanor.

It was supposed to be simple. Book some PR events, show up, smile for the camera, and be done. But one massive mistake on my end sends me into the trenches with Kate, forcing me to open up to her.

Innocent glances turn into cordial encounters.

Secret touches turn into tempting invitations.

And dangerous nights alone turn into consuming desperation.

I’ve never wanted a woman as much as I want her. And I know she wants me, but there’s a no fraternizing with the players rule. Neither of us can afford to lose our jobs, but we also can't seem to keep our hands off each other, either.

Another fun Sports Romance by Meghan Quinn! I have really been enjoying all of these new audiobooks. Walker started out as a total jerk but once he opens up... that man is sexy hot! Kate's job is to help Walker fix his reputation. He tries very hard to keep her at arms length but it doesn't last very long with her constantly trying to get him to open up. They have great banter and HOT HOT sexy times! The ending for perfect and I can't wait for the next one!!!

The narration was PERFECTION!!! Jason Clarke does "jerk" soooo well and Vanessa was great as always!!

The Perfect Catch

I had no idea what to expect with Walker but little did I know he would take a piece of my heart I was okay not giving back. Once you strip away the gruff façade and he lets his walls down he is a beautiful man with a big heart. Kate and Walker had mega chemistry and the slow burn Meghan gave us led to explosive sexiness. But these two had more than chemistry they had a connection that was unbreakable.

I loved the journey Meghan took us on with these characters. Meghan gave us a beautiful story with lots of emotion and heart and of course who witty humor. I mean the water cooler scene was priceless. She made you laugh and cry and then she made you mad and happy. Meghan weaved words of humor, lust and betrayal. Oh yes that is right I said betrayal. Meghan was a naughty woman giving us one heck of a twist I’m not sure if anyone will see coming.

Walker and Kate’s love story was a beautiful one and Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin were perfect for these characters and this story. They both made this story so much enjoyable and my ears happy. Jason has that smooth voice that you swoon over and Vanessa has this sweet but sexy voice that was perfect for Kate. They brought the characters to life and did it well.

This was an all around perfect catch and I’m loving the towel brigade.

Did it again!

These books are completely entertaining. This wasn’t my favorite but it was still high on this series.

Jason Clarke was on point, Vanessa Edwin sounded a little too young but it didn’t take away from the story. All around solid book!

Didn't want it to end!

This was my first time reading one of Meghan Quinn's books, and if the rest of her repertoire is similar to this book, I'll read all of them! The author is consistent with many stories with the theme of forbidden love, with tormented characters attracted to each other. I thoroughly enjoyed the chaste make out scene, even considering how to accomplish it with my own partner because it was highly erotic! The story contained several twists, one of which I didn't expect, which kept me hungry for each subsequent chapter.
I have listened to several books narrated by Jason Clarke, and I think this is one of his best performances. His tone and inflection breathed a soul into the male protagonist's character. He also created an excellent voice for the female role, which confirmed that I would appreciate a book that Jason reads as a solo narrator. I have not heard as many books with Vanessa Edwin, but she did a fantastic job with this role and I will look for her name on future purchases.
Excellent job to all involved!

How to catch a heart.

This book was amazing. How Meghan Quinn can find such away to turn an angry catcher into a hero is captivating. She has a way of writing books that will have you laughing one minute, to crying the next, and then throwing you a curve ball that makes you want to hit someone. This books is full of quirks with the perfect sports experience that feeds you thirst for romance and excitement. A must read.

The Perfect Catch

4 maple leafs … The Perfect Catch is a forbidden slow-burn baseball romance that is told in the first-person point of view of the main characters Walker and Kate.

Walker needs to clean up his image or find a new team. Not wanting to leave Chicago, he agrees to work with the new PR Manager for the Chicago Bobbies. Kate, determined to prove herself with the team, puts everything into helping the team bad boy clean up his image. As they spend more time together they grow close even though it is forbidden. The past comes creeping up and tests everything they have worked towards.

Walker and Kate's story is my favourite of all the towel brigade books that I have read. Walker is the perfect grumpy hero. Their banter was fun and entertaining, the connection between them grew nicely as the story went along and became very steamy when they came together. I did not like the decisions that were made when secrets were revealed and that is what knocked my rating down.

Audio … Jason Clarke did another amazing job as Walker and I did also enjoy Vanessa Edwin as Kate.

The Perfect Book

My heart is so full! The best book hangover ever. I have been intrigued by Walker since he was first names “The Best Butt in Baseball” - I came into this book with the highest of expectations and @meghanquinn totally delivered.

Walker is hands down the best book boyfriend. So much love for this guy. He definitely checks all the boxes- Grumpy ✔️ hot AF ✔️ baseball stud ✔️ (you can sell me all day on baseball romance) and full of so much love ✔️.
Kate is by far one of my favorite Meghan leading ladies. She was so kind hearted, so strong willed and never let Walker get away with anything without being called out for it.

Absolutely loved this book and the audio was perfection. Meghan adding @jasonclarkereads to the Boys of Brentwood was perfection and #vanessaedwin was fantastic as Kate.

hard to get through

narration is excellent. VE is high on the best female narrator list and JC is always excellent. there are a couple cute parts scattered throughout. SPOILERS! the FMC is harsh the first several chapters. the hero was arguing with a side character and inadvertently hurt a recently wounded soldier. It was very upsetting because he never fixed it/made it ok. from chapter 27 to the end it was a constant repeat of, "I want you but we can't be together", "there's a no fraternization policy but I love you" over and over and over. I fast forwarded it a lot. so irritating. also, too much s*x
