Story
Neil Josten is out of time. He knew when he came to PSU he wouldn't survive the year, but with his death right around the corner he's got more reasons than ever to live. Befriending the Foxes was inadvisable. Kissing one is unthinkable. Neil should know better than to get involved with anyone this close to the end, but Andrew's never been the easiest person to walk away from. If they both say it doesn't mean anything, maybe Neil won't regret losing it, but the one person Neil can't lie to is himself.

Story
Neil Josten is the newest addition to the Palmetto State University Exy team. He's short, he's fast, he's got a ton of potential - and he's the runaway son of the murderous crime lord known as the Butcher. Signing a contract with the PSU Foxes is the last thing a guy like Neil should do. The team is high profile, and he doesn't need sports crews broadcasting pictures of his face around the nation. His lies will hold up only so long under this kind of scrutiny, and the truth will get him killed.

Story
It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them - not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble. But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain.

Conor: It starts with a drunken text pic. The kind I would normally never send. Only, instead of it going to the flirty hotel bartender, it goes to some random stranger who actually responds. Wells: The first thing I notice about Conor Newell when he sits down in my high-rise conference room is how delightfully nervous he is. Then I see his tie. Tyson Langley thinks the king in Franklin University Kings is in reference to him. Star lacrosse player and God’s gift to the female and male population, there’s nothing the spoiled jock can’t have. It’s impossible for us to be in the same room without talking crap to each other. But I also have a secret…as much as I despise Ty, I want him too. 1333. Edward III is at war with Scotland. Nineteen-year-old Sir Harry de Lyon yearns to prove himself and jumps at the chance when a powerful English baron, William Montagu, invites him on a secret mission with a dozen elite knights. They ride north, to a crumbling Scottish keep, capturing a feral, half-starved boy within and putting the other inhabitants to the sword. But nobody knows why the flower of English knighthood snuck over the border to capture a savage, dirty teenage boy. Montagu gives the boy to Harry as his squire, with only two rules.

The story is supposed to be over. Simon Snow did everything he was supposed to do. He beat the villain. He won the war. He even fell in love. Now comes the good part, right? Now comes the happily ever after.... So why can’t Simon Snow get off the couch? What he needs, according to his best friend, is a change of scenery. That’s how Simon and Penny and Baz end up in a vintage convertible, tearing across the American West. They find trouble, of course. (Dragons, vampires, skunk-headed things with shotguns.) And they get lost.

Now it seems like everyone around them is getting married, and Luc's feeling the social pressure to propose. Publisher's Summary
The Foxes are a fractured mess, but their latest disaster might be the miracle they've always needed to come together as a team. The one person standing in their way is Andrew, and the only one who can break through his personal barriers is Neil.
Except Andrew doesn't give up anything for free, and Neil is terrible at trusting anyone but himself. The two don't have much time to come to terms with their situation before outside forces start tearing them apart. Riko is intent on destroying Neil's fragile new life, and the Foxes have just become collateral damage.
Neil's days are numbered, but he's learning the hard way to go down fighting for what he believes in, and Neil believes in Andrew even if Andrew won't believe in himself.

Not what I was expecting
First let me start off by saying, if you’re looking for romance, don’t bother reading this book. I wish someone mentioned the SA that nearly takes place in this book. The self harm mentioned in here didn’t really surprise me, seeing as most of the cast of characters are misfits for whatever reason.
This book made me feel uncomfortable, which suck cause I enjoyed the sports part of it, the mafia aspect wasn’t that great, and I feel like there isn’t really a full plot amongst the first and second book.
This book disappointed me so much, and made me uncomfortable to the point I refuse to read the last book.
Please, if you’re looking for “romance “ or something fun, this book isn’t it

Sexual assault trigger warning
Occurs halfway through chapter 11 so this is that TW. Took me some time to come down from my own panic attack from it so please be weary. There’s no warning in either audible or the e-book so I didn’t know it was there. <3 Still a good series though.

Remarkably disturbing. Too many spoilers.
Again, a book I can't stop listening to. This has so many elements that make me cringe, still with the characters I don't like, ones I would back out of a room to avoid turning my back on. Still, I didn't want to stop listening to the story. Not even when the MC ended up tortured by more characters I strongly disliked. They were terrible. Oh, and then another character goes through SA, a character that was supposed to be very strong and impossible to sneak up on.
Why am I moving on to volume #3?

So many emotions
It should be mentioned that there are triggers in this book including rape and torture.
This was a "reread" for me. I wanted to listen to it for a change and honestly, I didn't hate it. . .but I also didn't love the performance. I love the book so much and I'll always love it, but the narrator is only okay. I can't really be mad about it because my biggest issues are the female voices, and that's not something simple. I'll be listening to The King's Men so that I can cry some more and maybe this time I'll be able to ignore the female voices lol

The Imaginary World of Survivors of Impossible Pain
This is the weirdest book in the series. Its violence is gratuitous and excessive. I still listened till the end - looking for an excuse. I did‘t find one.
