Description
The Space Marine Legions of old are dead, torn asunder in the wake of the Horus Heresy. In their place have risen a thousand Chapters, each unique, each carrying the legacy of their founders across the countless battlefields of the Imperium.
The Flesh Tearers spill blood in a war of brutal attrition.
The Emperor's Spears keep a tireless watch where their brothers have fallen.
The Consecrators search the dark places for relics, artefacts of power from the noble past.
The Crimson Fists vow, with bloodied hands, to become Dorn's glorious vanguard once more.
These are the Imperium's bulwark against terror, the Emperor's Angels of Death. Forged from the genetic material of the demigod Primarchs, it is by the might of these Adeptus Astartes that the growing darkness of the galaxy is held at bay - for the Space Marines know no fear.

Story
In the darkness beyond the galaxy, there are monsters. Some swim closer to the light, drawn by the beacon that is the Astronomican, while others stalk the Void, predators in the dark. The Carcharodons have hunted for millennia, but now they are drawn into a new blackness...the Dark City of the drukhari itself. Commorragh. For a thousand years, Chaplain Tangata Manu has searched for a relic lost under his watch: an ancient thing, once charged into the keeping of the Forgotten One himself. But at the brink of seeing his hunt fulfilled and the relic returned, it is stolen from under him.

Mixed bag
The selection of short stories are a hit and miss for me. The first few weren’t that interesting to me, but as it went on, the stories got progressively more interesting. My personal favourite was Bless the Curse, following the Black Dragons.

Good stories just wanted more
The stories were exactly what I expected from Space Marines. How ever I was hoping for more insight into the successors and the unique traditions or something. You get very little of that, the stories beyond that are well written and excellently performed!
