Publisher's Summary

Like millions of women, Laura Doyle wanted her marriage to be better. But when she tried to get her husband to be more romantic, helpful, and ambitious, he withdrew - and she was lonely and exhausted from controlling everything. Desperate to be in love with her man again, she decided to stop telling him what to do and how to do it. When Doyle surrendered control, something magical happened. The union she had always dreamed of appeared. The man who had wooed her was back.

The underlying principle of The Surrendered Wife is simple: The control women wield at work and with children must be left at the front door of any marriage. Laura Doyle's matrimony shows women how they can both express their needs and have them met while also respecting their husband's choices. When they do, they revitalize intimacy. The Surrendered Wife will show you how to transform a lonely marriage into a passionate union.

I feel so much gratitude🙏

I enjoyed this audible version tremendously.
This information had me intrigued. Surrendering is the key to unlocking your husbands masculinity and sense of love , tenderness, protection. Now for the hard part ( application) I feel inspired to experience true surrender in every area of my life.
I would recommend reading this book if you notice your nagging, controlling, and feeling lonely within your marriage. It could be you stirring up all the drama and projecting it all on your husband.

Short and sweet + practical

I absolutely agree that the feminist movement has made it so that we can now CHOOSE to surrender, which makes it much more meaningful.

Not for Post Moderns

This book is probably perfect for traditionalists and I hope that these insights help your relationships! However, for modern and especially post modern persons I don't think this would be considered in any way progressive actions in establishing true equanimity within a relationship unless you had an honest discussion about how and why you were applying the changes that have been suggested in this book. People do not like to feel like that are being manipulated or toyed with.

Great Information

I loved it! I only wished it was longer. The information inside is invaluable. I am going to use some of the tips to try and help me. The recording is clear and the narrator is pleasant to listen to. If this type of book is what you are looking for, it could save you some agony along the marriage path. I also got some of Dr. Laura's Books. A+

This book is wonderful! I listened to it twice and then gave it to my sister. The author points out things I haven't thought of before. Great book.

Perfect advice for a 1950’s woman

This book is suggesting manipulation and playing games. I don’t think that it fits into where modern day society is going.
