Publisher's Summary

A Wall Street Journal bestseller.

In best-selling author T L Swan’s second hot installment to the Miles High Club series, he’s sexy, rich, and her mortal enemy. Hate never felt so good.

I first met Tristan Miles at a meeting where he was trying to take over my late husband’s company.

He was powerful, arrogant, and infuriatingly gorgeous, and I hated him with every cell in my body. In the shock of the century, he called me three days later and asked me on a date.

I would rather die than date a man like him - though I do have to admit it was good for the ego. Turning him down was the highlight of my year.

Six months later, he was the guest speaker at a conference I attended in France.

Still arrogant and infuriating - but this time, surprisingly charming and witty.

When he looked at me, I got butterflies.

But I can’t go there.

He’s just a player in a hot suit, and I’m just a widow with three unruly sons.

I just need this conference to be over.

Because everybody knows that Tristan Miles always gets what he wants...and what he wants is me.

My Favourite Audio book yet!

I normally do not write reviews, but I really felt I wanted to write one for this audiobook. The story was lovely to read, but the narrator's are what truly made this book great! CJ bloom did such a great job with all the different voice characterizations, especially the children. This was my first book with her as the female narrator, I will definitely look for more of her narration. And Sebastian York , as always is the highlight for me, but when you add the dry humor to his role, just wow, he is sexy and funny at the same time, love him! I will definitely read more T.L Swan books!!

Loved this single parent story!

This was a fantastic book! It had me laughing and in tears at some parts. These two main characters go from enemies to lovers. Tristian is trying to take over her late husbands company and she’s not having it. She throws him out of her office. They run into each other at a conference and one thing leads to another and they end up having lots of hot sex. She assumes that’s the end of it. He’s a player and she’s a single mom to three boys who are out of control. However, he has other plans. So many crazy moments and wake up calls for this bachelor. The pranks the middle boy does are wow!!! But Tristian, has ways of getting back at him. These relationships all grow and have ups and downs. There’s moments of struggling but so many great ones too. I loved this book!!! As a single parent, I want a book boyfriend like Tristan in real life!! ❤️

Funny

I bought this only because It is the sequel to another book I read.

I was pleasantly surprised. This book had me chuckling to myself in a wholesome way, which was unexpected for this type of book.

The story line was easy and predictable, but enjoyable.

I did not struggle to get through it.

It isn't a must read again type of book.

Just perfect!

First off can we arrange to have a wake up service voiced by Sebastian York? That’s the voice I want to wake up to each morning!! The story is great, characters well developed, nothing too unbelievable, and no major life threatening matter to bring it all to a HEA. Can’t wait for the next instalment in this series-hope it’s Elliott and the elusive blonde from the art auction...?

AN ALL-CONSUMING TRULY WONDERFUL LISTEN

I love and respect Claire.. the independent strong businesswoman who is trying to honor her dead husband’s legacy by keeping his company afloat and his wishes alive for his three boys aged 9, 13 and 17. With her strength at eventually taking tentative steps to ‘date’ again after five years of putting up walls and having insecurities. And for standing strong and holding on to what she believed was right for her family.. even if they conflicted with her heart.. and with anyone else’s opinions (including mine).

I’m in love with Tristan.. the tall, dark, handsome sexy billionaire playboy who goes after Claire and doesn’t see an age difference, or other women or her ‘supposed’ flaws. I love the way their quickie trysts lead to far from ease romance with deep feelings. I love the way he slowly eases his way in through often very hostile waters into her and her boys lives, takes each one under his wing and has the very best of intentions when he fully, and lovingly, commits. I love the way he connects with each of the boy and gives them nicknames.

I love the fact it‘s a slow-burning, friction-filled, fiery enemies-to-lovers romance as the sexual tension builds and builds in playful paragraphs. I love how TLS puts some serious life challenges in with mixed-up emotional hurdles and heartache because moving on and letting go after a loss like theirs comes with many emotional pitfalls. I love CJ Bloom’s narration - which brings the many feels and cast of characters to life.. and I love Sebastian York’s rich narration too.. but sadly there weren’t many chapters narrated by him.

I love the fact that this is a weighty twelve and a half hour complete story.. so no trilogy or duet cliffhangers. And I love and respect that greed didn’t win with this author.

Worth a credit? Yes.. definitely one of the absolute best enemies-to-lovers romance I’ve listened to.. and I’ve got quite a fair few in my Library!! There’s lol humor, heart, heat, heartache and many many heartwarming scenes in this very addictive dual POV romance which totally took over my life for quite a wee while. It amused the hell out of me, made me swoon.. and drool.. and nearly cry.. and sigh.. and left me with that delicious ‘feel-good’ inner happiness - the one you get after an all-consuming, five star, well-rounded touching and layered romance. Buuuuut, I also would’ve loved an Epilogue too.

Tick Tock....you better read this!

Best book I have read all year!

This book is filled with all the feels. Claire and her boys are so relatable in how they each deal with loss. And Tristan! He swooped right in and was just what each of them needed. The relationships developed between all the characters was filled with angst, hilarity, and love.

I have read close to 100 books this year and this by far is at the top!

Also, audiobook was perfectly narrated.

Good but frustrating at times!

3.25 Stars Overall!

This was a story in which I wanted to shake both MCs at certain points throughout the story. First impressions would have me putting the two older boys into military school.

The h was not business savvy in any way. She made assumptions about the H and allowed it to immediately shut his offer down without reviewing the results of other companies he has taken over.

During the conference, the H is always looking for a way out which was a repetitive theme throughout the book. The H goes through a key stone cops moment when he goes to the h's house for the first time. FYI - The older boys couldn't be worse!

The last 2 hours drove me crazy with the horrible way the H acted. Her husband has died and she refuses to move on!!!

I still liked the book but I got to a point where I thought I was getting to the conflict.... and found out that there wS was another 6 hours to go! It was long but if you liked the first story, this one is worth the read. The H ends up being very good to the family.

I took a star away due to the crazy behavior of the h towards the end.

Explicit Sex - Yes
Cheating - No

I fell for Tristan Miles

I enjoyed this and I loved Tristan. At first when he met Claire, as smitten as he was with her, the thought of her three children was too much for him. But he quickly fell for the Widow AND all three of her boys. It was truly a sweet story of how he forged a relationship with each of the boys. He was able to bond with them in a special way that was unique with each. It's truly what you want for your boys who are fatherless.
Claire had her issues, and there were times I questioned, but then I stepped back. She was dealing with the death of her husband 5 years earlier and grief is truly different for everyone, its a personal journal and she took hers. It was quite heartbreaking at times.
The narration was very well done. CJ Bloom has a knack for the comedy, and his a fantastic Narrator. Sebastian York is of course one of the very best, I just wish there had been a bit more of him.

Bravo for this one...

I thought I loved book 1 but book 2 was better.. I don't know how Swan can out do herself from here...this book is 12 hrs long.. 4 hrs in the leads are heavily invested in forever but just didn't realize it at the time.. I had a moment where I thought "how the hell is she going to fill in the remaining time and not make it all about sex?" .. I kept listening and it was a magical ride... Claire's kids were the definition of trouble and it was hilarious. Her kids meeting Tristan for the first time had my jaw dropping and I totally understood when he took off for the hills. But as the days and the dynamics btwn all of them unravelled I absolutely loved Tristan. I yelled when Claire closed off towards the end but again I have never lost a husband or had to run small business by myself so who am I to judge her reaction?

Enough of my rant.. the narration is perfect. The story is captivating. If you don't have credit buy it.. enough said.

Tristan Miles & Claire Anderson

*****SPOILER ALERT*****

Audible review. Dual POV. This story can be read as a standalone but it is the 2nd book of the 4 book Miles High Club series (2 have yet to be published). I really enjoyed this story. It is the funniest book I've ever read with several poignant moments that stole my heart. Both narrators do a good job although there are a handful of recording errors. Untranslated French. The majority of the book is read in an average American accent with a French & a British accent adopted a few times. Trigger warning: father of 3 is killed by a drunk driver on his morning run.

Claire Anderson is a 38 year old, widowed mother of 3 boys [Fletcher (17; aka Fletch; Tristan's intern @ Miles Media), Harrison (13; aka Harry/the Wizard/Wiz), and Patrick (9; aka Patty/Tricky; dyslexic)], and she is running her late husband's failing business, Anderson Media. They have 2 pets, a dog named Woofy and a cat named Muff. Her late husband, Wade Anderson, has been dead 5 years. Wade died when he was 36 while running when a drunk driver hit him. Tristan Miles is a 34 year old, 6'3", well educated (6 degrees, speaks 5 languages, IQ of 170), wealthy single man who is known as The Takeover King. He and his 3 brothers manage their family's business. He is responsible for acquisitions. He has been trying to purchase Anderson Media but Claire continually turns him down. Claire's assistant encourages her to go to a conference in France to get away. Tristan turns out to be one of the conference speakers. The two have a short fling and return home, Claire making it clear it was only a fling that they're not at the same place in life. The way their love story unfolds is hilarious, provocative and moving. I'm so glad they got their HEA, they're engaged and are expecting their first baby together. JP

I really didn’t like Claire

Sebastian York is always wonderful. CJ Bloom was annoying but in her defense her character was annoying. Loved Tristin but really really disliked Claire. I wanted to smack her most of the book. Glad this was free because I would have been upset if I wasted a credit on it. I only listened because of Sebastian York anyway.

A real pleasure to listen

Full of humour and made me laugh several times along the book.
Mind you I cried several times to.
In short a book to read and keep on your night stand.
