Now a number one Amazon Kindle store best seller

When Luca Windsor's secretary suddenly quits her job shortly after his family forces him into an unwanted engagement, he sets out to solve both problems.

By secretly marrying his secretary, Valentina, instead.

The rules are simple:

  1. Don't fall in love
  2. Keep their marriage a secret at work
  3. Share a bed every night

It was meant to be a straightforward and mutually beneficial deal, but with each day that passes, it becomes clearer to Luca that the one thing Valentina wants is the only thing he can never do:

Letting her go.

Publisher's Note: Each book in the Windsors series features a different Windsor sibling, and as such, each book can be listened to as a standalone. The Temporary Wife contains a guaranteed happily-ever-after and no cheating.

Touching and sweet

Such entertaining story, the character had a very strong personality, but the insecurity of Valentina tends to be tiring I was expecting more from the story. Performance of the narrators were good as always.

Addictive Blend of Angst and Romance

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥

I must admit, I dove into "The Temporary Wife (The Windsors #2)" by Catharina Maura with high expectations after being hooked by the first book in the series. My experience was nothing short of phenomenal, and I'm delighted to award it a well-deserved five-star rating and a heat level of 3.

This is my second encounter with Catharina Maura's writing, and I'm officially addicted. The decision to opt for the audiobook version, narrated by Joe Arden, was a stroke of genius. Arden's voice added layers of depth and emotion to an already captivating story, elevating it to new heights.

The plot revolves around Luca Windsor, a billionaire grappling with an arranged engagement and a sudden job vacancy when his secretary leaves. Enter Valentina, the secretary-turned-temporary wife. What begins as a strategic marriage of convenience soon becomes a journey of passion, heartache, and self-discovery.

Maura has a talent for crafting characters that leap off the page. Luca and Valentina's dynamic is electric, filled with palpable tension and raw emotions. The rules they set for their arrangement—no falling in love, secrecy at work, and sharing a bed—create a delicious tension that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.

What truly sets this book apart is the depth of emotions it evokes. From love and longing to angst and anguish, every emotion is vividly portrayed, making it impossible not to feel invested in Luca and Valentina's tumultuous journey.

In conclusion, "The Temporary Wife" is a must-read for fans of marriage of convenience romances layered with intense emotions. Catharina Maura's storytelling prowess shines brightly, leaving readers craving for more. I eagerly anticipate the next installment in The Windsors series.

Great Story

When Luca Windsor’s secretary suddenly quits her job shortly after his family forces him into an unwanted engagement, he sets out to solve both problems by secretly marrying his secretary, Valentina, instead.

It was meant to be a straightforward and mutually beneficial deal, but with each day that passes, it becomes clearer to Luca that the one thing Valentina wants is the only thing he can never do by letting her go.

The struggles they go through to get to their HEA is a wonderful story.

It almost reminds me of Cinderella and her wicked stepmother and stepsister. I loved the ending.
