Good story however...

I really enjoyed this story. Although there are a few things that bothered me about the story nothing compared to how much the narrator annoyed me when it came to male voices. It was hard to like ANY OF THEM when the narrator made them all sound so dense. I’m torn between purchasing a paperback so I can read it my own way or just powering through the series in audio.

This book!

I love Sarah J. Maas and the relationship she builds between characters. She has a wonderful writing style! I read ACOTAR before reading this series and I just love the way she wrote!! It’s so easy to read and nothing ever gets boring with her!!

Not as good as A Court of Thorns and Roses

It's hard to buy into the story that she is a tough assassin, when she isn't mentally strong enough. I'm finding it hard to be invested in her character, though I know the series is popular. I enjoyed the COTR series much more.

Pretty good!

This book was great and had a wonderful strong female character. Although the romance was a bit predictable, the storyline was really great. The readers voice was not annoying at all and did a great job capturing the characters moods and feelings.
10/10 probably going to read the next one.

Not as good as ACOTAR

The story is frustrating at times but the narration is good. I prefer Jennifer Ikeda for narrating SJMs books but I thought Elizabeth did a good job bringing Celena’s voice to life. I’m hoping the next book is better.

I didn't finish only because it isn't a romance

About 5 half way through this book I was really excited for the series ahead and I'm honestly kinda bummed ... the triangle between Two characters had me concerned so i googled who she ends up with and find out this isn't a happily ever after with one guy book.... so I'm out. no interest in books where the character is hooking up with new people in every book.
thought it was a romance novel based in fantasy.

I feel like no review can do a justice

This book was fantastic, the narrator was amazing! If you’re debating getting this audible, debate no more. It’s brilliant. And beautiful. And sad. And completely and utterly wonderful. Start listening right now.

Great story, terrible voices.

I love these books and their story. The reader read well, but some of their voices for characters were not to well done. A squeaky British accent for a giant hulking tribesman from the mountains seems like an odd and distracting choice.
