Publisher's Summary

Beards, brothers, and bikers! Oh my!

Identical twins Beau and Duane Winston might share the same devastatingly handsome face, but where Beau is outgoing and sociable, Duane is broody and reserved. This is why Jessica James, recent college graduate and perpetual level-headed good girl, has been in naïve and unhealthy infatuation with Beau Winston for most of her life. His friendly smiles make her tongue-tied and weak-kneed, and she's never been able to move beyond her childhood crush. Whereas Duane and Jessica have always been adversaries. She can't stand him, and she's pretty sure he can't stand the sight of her....

But after a case of mistaken identity, Jessica finds herself in a massive confusion kerfuffle. She has spent her whole life paralyzed by the fantasy of Beau and her assumptions of Duane's disdain; therefore she's unprepared for the reality that is Duane's insatiable interest, as well as his hot hands and hot mouth and hotter looks. Not helping Jessica's muddled mind and good girl sensibilities, Duane seems to have gotten himself in trouble with the local biker gang, the Iron Order.

Certainly, Beau's magic spell is broken. Yet when Jessica finds herself drawn to the man who was always her adversary, now more dangerous than ever, how much of her level-headed heart is she willing to risk?

Loved the story - lots of laughs, love the Winston Brothers. I can't wait to start book two.

Great performances by both actors.

Wanted to love it

I’m probably being picky. I actually listened to the second book in the series first and I loved the voices. But I’m struggling with the voice for Jess - I’m struggling to believe it’s the voice of a young 22 year old woman. Also her behaviour and language is so off putting. Using child like terms for body parts is difficult for me. Maybe this is one I should have read and not listened to. I’ll likely still try another of the books in the series, but I also see it’s the same woman voicing several other books (if not all)

Enjoyed*Characters physical intimacy disappointing

Great story ... amazing book in the series or as a standalone. Narrator brought out the hilarious energy however, all the build up and anticipation of the final moments of physical intimacy was a real disappointment. Hilarious from start to finish can't wait for another book from Penny Reid.

Amazing narration

This story was super cute but what made this a 5 star audiobook was the female narrator! She was PHENOMENAL! I usually find it hilarious when the female narrator reads the male parts and uses a deeper voice to try to sound masculine, but this narrator did such a great “male” voice! Her southern accent was charming and her voice was just so captivating! I loved this! I will for sure be looking for more audiobooks narrated by her!

Duane and Jessica... OH, MY HEART!

This is my first Penny Reid book, and it did NOT disappoint! I laughed, I cried, I teetered on the bring of suspicion! It is so smartly and sensually written with just the right amount of humor. Loved it to bits and immediately downloaded book 2!

Very cute story

Very tame story line with many sexual moments. Characters were sweet and the voices were pretty good.

Where have I been this whole time?!

Absolutely loved this! I loved the characters and the family dynamic in this small town.

It was a slow burn for the romance aspect for sure, but it didn’t bother me one bit. I was so focused on the whole story and learning how the history of the families.

These narrators were amazing!!! 10/10 stars for them. They were perfect for this small town story. I was laughing along with them and I enjoyed every bit of it. Can’t wait to see what the other books are like.
