Ruined by the narrator’s incessant giggling
The narrator constantly bursts into this odd and unbearable cackling or chuckling. Even in the middle of a word that is in no way funny, or part of any “joke,” he will include the odd cackling. I cannot fathom how this was allowed by any editor. I would recommend pulling this title and re-recording, ideally with a new narrator or at least without the interruption of the chucking every 2-7 words.
The actual content is great. The narrator’s cackling is insufferable. Do not waste your time, just buy the actual book. This is absolutely unlistenable. Wish Sisson had narrated it. He has a much better voice, and I don’t believe he is afflicted by this odd giggling compulsion that the plagues the narrator.

Don't waste your time.
This is definitely a pass. The narration about killed me. I was so "over" the narrator's fake laughter throughout. I felt I was being talked down to the whole time. Hung in there hoping for worthwhile content but truly a let down. There are better options to ignite your interest and inspiration.

Where's Sisson?
I would greatly prefer hearing Mark tell his own story rather than this guy. The narrator sounds like a 40 year old man trying to sound cool in front of teenage boys.
However and most importantly, content is excellent. Thought at times I question the scientific accuracy when quoting documentaries as sources.

Great content, bad reading
This was an interesting book which I bought after listening to Mark on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. I really liked his demeanor and the facts he presented there. And already being on the keto diet for a couple of years his statement of "being on the keto diet is no way to live" got my attention. There is in my opinion a great deal of interesting ideas and also good, backed up science in here.
So it's too bad that the reader of the book is almost ruining the experience. His way of overexaggerating words and sentences is giving the impression of him reading this to children or mentally challenged adults sometimes which gets annoying real fast. He also have a tendency to half-laugh in random sentences that is not remotely funny (nor meant to be) and in fact only distracts from the content. I'm sure his intentions are to make the reading not boring and instead light-hearted but he should have found some better middel ground here.
