Great start for the 3rd trilogy

There was a lot of cool stuff revealed. This book really hypes me up for Book 8, I can only imagine the cool fights we wil get. Overall, the book was another good quality piece, for sure top 5 for me.

Honestly a Huge let down

First I would like to say I love the entire series, listened to it all in a week but this book left off on a bit of a sour note for me and was the first that left me disappointed.
I really felt like lindin should have won over Yerrin, it really felt like from the very beginning it was building to that, as well as setting up a fight for him later in the tournament, I am not someone who thinks Lindin shouldn’t lose I just feel like it was not set up properly, if linden got into to top 8 and lost to Yerrin I think I would have been ok with it, i just feel like, first the bait and switch, than then having him just sit there taking a beating before ultimately losing really wasn’t the way of doing it. That was not my only problem with the end, I really felt like the ending came out of nowhere and felt really contrived, I feel like shoving the space stuff into the end of the tournament was a huge mistake it felt really forced and with how the fight ended added to my dissatisfaction, I feel like it was thrown here to try and get us invested in the rest of the tournament, which for me it utterly fails at. And to top it all of it ends with the biggest cliffhanger of the entire series so far.
I really don’t know if it is a blessing or a curse that I now have to wait for the next book, I hope that a break will give me time to cool off and refresh for what comes next, but I fear that when the next books comes out I won’t feel motivated to pick the series back up.

Edit from the future, I have re-listened to the whole series before moving on to the next couple of books, and while I still don't love the ending of this books I have again fallen in love with this series, so if like me you were not a fan of this one, don't give up on the series, everything to come is fantastic, and I can happily say it's one of my favorite series.

Best narrator I have heard since joining audible. with an amazing well written story to go with it. definitely recommend. Only downside is the book is not long enough!

Money Grab

Man this felt stretched out with almost no plot progression compared to the other books.
