Great Story, Mystery

Perfectly entertaining
I truly enjoyed this book, it had just the right amount of everything, intrigue, suspense, well developed characters. The writing and narration were quite good, I could easily picture every scene and every conversation throughout the story. I couldn’t stop, the plot was very well put together.
The bonus is that it was free!
How about that!
I would definitely recommend.

Pleasantly Surprised
Was there just one narrator? The voice changes to play different characters was so good. If that performance was from just one person, I’d be shocked. I almost gave up on this one since it’s a slow start, but it does pick up speed and when it does….well, there were many twists and turns that made me glad I gave it a chance! An entertaining listen for sure!

Great performances - Great Story
I really enjoyed this book. The story was good and flowed quite nice. If you paid attention to the author's clues, it was easy to figure out the ending;however, even though I had it figured out, I really liked it right until the last sentence.
I loved the performances as well. It was narrated superbly and I really felt like they captured each of the characters perfectly.

Superb Story, Superb Narrating. Loved it!
For me, who is not familiar with the American South, this was more than a well-written suspense novel, it was a window into the interwoven lives of today and yesterday, tinted in places with the attitudes of a faded, threadbare historic past that still seeks to be included in the now. The character development in this story is flawless and interesting. It showed a universal truth, you can't escape your past. I highly recommend this book!

Wasn’t that shocking
Maybe it’s because I’m always listening to books with crazy twists, but I predicted the twist would pretty early on, still an alright read. Just meh.
