Murder, blackmail and drug dealing on the Tiber combine in one of Ngaio Marsh’s liveliest and most evocative novels.

A quite good story, a giant plot hole that you could drive a bus and half the word count through, and also an unintentionally funny window into the mores and values of our recent ancestors.

I will listen to this book more than once; it was quite entertaining.

Agatha Christie-esque
