Very calming

not the best relaxation I've heard

It was ok because it was free but I would have been disappointed if I had paid for it. It should be longer than 10 min if before bed, in my opinion. All she did was name party's of the body. I guess that was too take your mind off other things but I believe she could have done more than that.

really effective!

This was effective for relaxing towards sleep but I wish it could have been longer as was too short to actually fall asleep too.

I listen to this every night as part of my bedtime ritual. Gabby has the most eloquent, maternal voice. It is so soft and soothing I enter a state of deep relaxation, just like when my mommy would read me bedtime stories and then sing me soothing lullabies. Free. Still a no thank you very much.

7 minutes of meditation? I think not. But it was free, so who cares? Recording scratchy. Would keep one awake with annoying sound and narration. Thanks to Audible I appreciate their determination.

Over rated

I’ve appreciated some of Gabby’s book but this felt like it was trying to hard. I got agitated instead of relaxed.

I'm Just Glad I Didn't Have to Pay For This

Gabby's soothing voice is the only thing I liked about this meditation. The focusing on and relaxing different body parts got kind of weird and dragged on. It also felt like it should be leading to something, but never quite got there. Then it was over.
I won't be repeating this one. Which is a bummer because I usually love Gabby's meditations.

Not helpful

For me personally, dividing some of the body parts into “left”, “right”, “upper” or “lower” had the opposite effect. Not helpful if your mind is actively expecting what comes next instead of relaxing. Why not just mention the body part as a whole and move on? Things like “eyelids”, “left chest”, “right chest” seem comical. And the seductive voice doesn’t help either. I wasn’t even able to complete the entire 7m+ audio.

Had to turn it off after a few seconds.

Sounded like it needed to be mixed properly; maybe they needed a pop filter? Serious, major sibilance, like they subtracted any simple bass and turned up the treble. Does not strike me as relaxing. Might be good as an alarm to wake, however.

there is probably nothing I would change, the content, the performance, the length, even the background music, fully recommended.
