We learned about the truth of the fall of Banyue, and that Pei Su (the god Pei Ming’s descendent) is the true culprit behind the Banyue pass disappearances. The Banyue general ghost Ke Mo and Pei Su are apprehended and taken to heaven for judgment by the Wind God, and Xie Lian and San Lang return home to Puqi shrine. As they are getting ready for dinner, Xie Lian reveals that he has learned San Lang’s true identity: Hua Cheng.

Xie Lian and San Lang talk more in Puqi Shrine as they lie in bed, and they talk about their pasts. San Lang leaves the next day, leaving behind a diamond ring as a gift to Xie Lian. After a few days of rest, Ling Wen summons Xie Lian back to heaven for a meeting at the great martial hall, where Xie Lian meets the crown prince of Yong’An Lang QianQiu. Pei Su is also put on trial and exiled, and Jun Wu has a new secret assignment for Xie Lian. He is told to infiltrate Ghost City with Lang QianQiu and the Wind God.

Xie Lian and Shi QingXuan travel into ghost city and end up at the gambling house. There they witness a human man betting his daughter’s life in order to kill his enemies. Unable to stand for this injustice, the god Lang QianQiu interferes with the game and gets himself caught by the lord of Ghost City: Hua Cheng. Xie Lian offers to win Lang QianQiu’s freedom in a game of dice. There is a lot of dice cup flirting. Xie Lian eventually wins, and the three gods leave to figure out a plan. As they’re talking they suddenly hear a desperate scream.
