• The Cross Gives Hope to the World: Part IV – The Message of the Cross
    Apr 24 2024

The cross and resurrection of Jesus is the hope of the world. It is what brings changes and new life. The cross provides us with hope on our journey through life. It and it alone can give us spiritual and eternal life. In today’s message, Pastor Wallace reminds us of what St. Paul told the Corinthians that the Gospel isn’t about the preacher, it’s about the message of the cross of Christ. There are two kinds of people in the world: there are those who are perishing because of their sins and those who are being saved. Those are the only two options. There’s nothing in between. And the difference between them is the “word” or the “message” of the cross. Today’s message about the cross will challenge you to hold to the message of the cross so that you might leave behind the foolishness of the world’s wisdom and be witnesses of God’s greatness to all of us who call upon His name. Amen

  • The Cross Gives Hope to the World: Part II – Identifying with the Cross
    Apr 17 2024

In a Christian’s life, there must be change, there must be growth, there must be transformation, because that is the grace of God in your life. Today, drawing from insights from Paul’s letter to the church at Rome, Pastor Wallace is going to examine if the grace of God is intended to change a believer’s life, how are we to respond to the intention, to the grace of God in our life? Is there something we need to know, is there something we need to respond to, in order for the growth or the spiritual formation in us to be maximized? Pastor Wallace believes there is and in today’s passage, he shares three words that will help us understand what we need to do: KNOW, RECKON, and YIELD. Knowing deals with fact. Reckoning deals with faith. Yielding deals with function. The goal of this message is to help Christians find their identity in the cross, to die to self. And to experience the power of Christ in their daily lives. Do you know Jesus personally? If not, you can pray to Him today by asking Him to come into your life. AMEN.

  • The Cross Gives Hope to the World: Part I – The Blessing of the Cross
    Apr 12 2024

The cross and resurrection of Jesus is the hope of the world. It is what brings change and new life. The cross provides us with hope on our journey through life. In today’s message, Pastor Wallace teaches from Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. In this epistle, Paul wanted the saints in Ephesus and us, above all else, to see the far greater spiritual blessings they had, and we have in Christ. Therefore, it is important for us to know how blessed we are in Christ Jesus. There are five things that Pastor Wallace wants us to know: 1) The Source of These Riches; 2) The Spirituality of These Riches; 3) The Sufficiency of These Riches; 4) The Sphere of These Riches; and 5) The Security of These Riches. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” AMEN

  • The Empty Tomb: A Risen Savior…So What?
    Apr 11 2024

Happy Easter! Today is the celebration of the highest and holiest victory of all eternity and our Christian faith. Because He lives, everyone who places their faith in Jesus Christ will live as well. In our Scripture text today: Matthew 28:1-10, we proclaim the mystery of the faith: Christ is Risen! Today’s message is centered around a proverbial question: “So what?” He is Risen! What does it really mean for your life, for our community, and for our world? Pastor Wallace teaches us about the most important point for us to remember and that is: the angel did not move the stone in order to let Jesus out, but in order to let the world in and see that Jesus was no longer there. As a result, we are called to be witnesses to others about a Risen Savior. The church’s mission is Jesus’ mission: To seek and save the lost. We are commanded to go and tell, go and make disciples, go and love unconditionally, go and serve, go and sacrifice. Have you told someone that the tomb is empty and that their sins are forgiven!

  • Understanding the Grace of God: Part IV - Sustaining Grace
    Mar 15 2024

In four months, the eyes of the world are going to be on France and the Summer Olympic Games. In order to get to the Olympics, you have to have three things: speed, skill and most important of all, you have to have endurance. If you don’t make it to the end of the race, you are not going to win any medal. The good news is that the Bible tells us that God always finishes what He starts. In today’s message, Pastor Wallace shares with us why God will help you finish the race. It is because of God’s Sustaining Grace. However, there are three things in life that can cause you to stumble, and that can cause you not to finish well in life. God’s Sustaining Grace says: “I will help you with those three situations: 1) when you are tempted; 2) when you are tired; and 3) when you are in trouble.” With God’s Sustaining Grace, you will be able to keep your eyes focused on the hope of heaven, not just on the here and now. Amen

  • Understanding the Grace of God: Part III – Sufficient Grace
    Mar 5 2024

If you desire to grow spiritually and embrace all God has for you, you must know and accept God’s amazing grace. Our Lenten Sermon Series: “Understanding the Grace of God” will help you grow in the grace and knowledge of God. The last two previous messages were on God’s saving grace and enabling grace. Today’s message is about His sufficient grace. Pastor Wallace’ thesis in this message is that because of God’s sufficient grace, weak weeks make for a strong year! The pastor’s prayer is that God would help us to know our weaknesses each weak and to therefore seek His face consistently, confidently, and corporately. The message draws insights from Paul’s struggles and difficulties in his Chrisitan life. Paul was a great Christian, worthy of emulation, yet he was a human being like you and me and so he faced the same temptations as we do. He pleaded with the Lord thrice to remove the sticking thorn from his side. However, although the Lord did not remove the thorn, God showed His power and strength, and accomplished His purpose in Paul’s life. May He do the same for us!

  • Understanding the Grace of God – Part II: Enabling Grace
    Feb 28 2024

Today, in our second part of our sermon series: Understanding the Grace of God,” we focus on God’s enabling grace. His grace enables us to be who we are meant to be and to do what He wants us to do. This can only occur as we abide in Him. So, Paul writes this second epistle (2 Timothy) to Timothy and says to him, “Be strong in the grace that is found in Christ.” Pastor Wallace teaches us in this sermon that the grace of God does not merely save us (although it does do that), it also continues to enable us. It empowers our lives and gives us the ability to stand firm. Even in the midst of suffering and in the midst of opposition, Timothy had to stand firm. We too can stand firm in the grace of God. Like Paul, our past is not a hindrance to the new identity we have in Christ. Like Paul and so many others in the Bible, we can declare: “I am who I am by the grace of God.” You could have been dead, sleeping in your grave, but because of God’s grace you are here! Praise God.
