The Philadelphia Flyers played their third straight road preseason game on Thursday night, and they looked like a team that needed a day off against the Washington Capitals in Hershey’s Giant Center. The Caps won 5-1, and there weren’t many positive highlights for the Orange and Black.

Training camp continues for the Philadelphia Flyers, and today they reduced their roster by ten. Not many surprises but the assignment of Samu Tuomaala to the AHL after only playing 13 minutes of preseason hockey is interesting.

Charlie & Bill also discuss Captain Coots’ comments on how bad the power play has been, as well as the front office and coaching staff‘s plans for Dan Vladar and Sam Ersson.

The Philadelphia Flyers second preseason game wasn’t nearly as exciting (or long) as the first, as they went into Montreal on Tuesday night, gave up a goal to Cole Caufield in the opening minute and trailed the rest of the way in a 4-2 loss.

Owen Tippett scored on the power play, something he was unable to do all of last season, but Sam Ersson was pulled(?) after the first period and the Habs’ regulars had their way with Philly.
