• 327. No FLOWERS bloom in ALL Seasons
    May 7 2024
While listening to the ALL IN podcast recently that was talking about lamenting. Morgan said something that really spoke to my heart. “No flowers bloom in all seasons”. What a profound thought for me. I love flowers and during this time of year they are all around our property. Join me today as I share some thoughts about flowers and our personal blooming we experience in life. Ecclesiastes 3: 1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. bethnewellcoaching@gmail.com

  • 326. Where can I TURN for PEACE?
    Apr 30 2024
This is a re-posted podcast from my archives! As I travel to spend time with my kids, I felt this podcast was perfect for our lives!! Thank you for supporting me. Enjoy!!! Today, while preparing for church I thought so much about personal peace during these times. Our opening hymn was Where Can I Turn For Peace. Many of us are seeking for peace. We have wars and commotion going on all around us but we can have personal peace. Peace comes through Jesus Christ and following his teachings. Join me today as I share some thoughts and light about peace. John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” A Pattern for Peace By Bishop W. Christopher Waddell Second Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric said, “The peace we all seek requires us to act—by learning of Jesus Christ, by listening to His words, and by walking with Him.” bethnewellcoaching.com bethnewellcoaching@gmail.com

  • 324. TREES & coming unto CHRIST
    Apr 23 2024
This is such a beautiful time of year in our area. We have spring trees flowering everywhere. On our property alone we have several different fruit bearing trees. As I walk outside each day, I see trees surrounding our neighborhood. That got me thinking about the significance of trees in the standard works. The Garden of Eden, The Garden of Gethsemane, The Tree of Life and The Sacred Grove. Join me today as I share some scriptures and how all of these trees symbolize our reliance on the Savior Jesus Christ. bethnewellcoaching@gmail.com

  • 323. A life of trauma & mental health disorders yet she found PEACE in & through the SAVIOR Jesus Christ with Cindy Barker
    Apr 19 2024

Cindy grew up in Portand Oregon. From her earliest memories she experienced abuse from the hands of the adults who were to care for her. She emailed me, "My life has been full of trials but the attonement has been my lifeline since I was baptized back in 2010. Through Schizoaffective disorder, mental health breakdowns, grief from miscarriage after miscarriage, the attonement of Christ has been there. Comforting me. Sustaining me. And giving me the strength to endure the trials that have molded me. Refined me. And loved me when I have felt unlovable.” Join me today as Cindy shares her story of seeking light amidst her storms. President Monson said, “Our Heavenly Father … knows that we learn and grow and become stronger as we face and survive the trials through which we must pass.”

  • 321. Don't Drop the BALL
    Mar 26 2024
So many wonderful things are happening in our family right now. My heart is very full. I have spent the last 2 weeks reflecting on parenting and how many times I have symbolically "dropped the ball". Parenting has taught me so many incredible life lessons. Here are just three that I share today: 1. Saying SORRY as many times as I can 2. Trying to do BETTER each day 3. Having FAITH in Heavenly Father Join me today as I share some insights and thoughts about what parenting has taught me. President Gordon B. • 320. I KNEW I shouldn't have worn these shorts
    Mar 19 2024
Matt needed to go walking around the backyard to find the area that our goats were escaping from our yard into our neighbors yard. He was dressed in a warm coat and in shorts. When he went in the house he said his legs were hurting because of all the cuts he got all over his legs. He showed me all the cuts and scratches and said, “I knew that I shouldn’t have worn these shorts”. My mind began to think of all the times that I made a decision to do something and thought, “I knew that I shouldn't have done that”. Join me today as I share some thoughts on change and moving forward not taking the easy way. “You can change! You can be anything you want to be in righteousness. If there is one lament I cannot abide, it is the poor, withered cry, ‘Well, that’s just the way that I am.’ I’ve heard it from too many people who want to sin and call it psychology. You can change anything you want to change, and you can do it very fast. Another satanic sucker punch is that it takes years and years and eons and eons to repent. That’s just not true. It takes exactly as long to repent as it takes you to say, ‘Ill change’ and mean it. Of course, there will be problems to work out and restitutions to make…but change, growth, renewal , and repentance can come to you as instantaneously as for Alma.” Elder Jeffrey R. Holland | For Times of Trouble “We can change our behavior. Our very desires can change. How? There is only one way. True change—permanent change—can come only through the healing, cleansing, and enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He loves you—each of you! He allows you to access His power as you keep His commandments, eagerly, earnestly, and exactly. It is that simple and certain. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of change!” Russell M. Nelson | Decisions for Eternity bethnewellcoaching@gmail.com
