Teachers Who Pray

  • Summary

  • Many schools are filled with high levels of anxiety and trauma - due to increases in school violence, students' lack of respect for others and classroom interruptions during instruction. Teachers face unprecedented challenges in the classroom: students’ mental health struggles, students’ learning loss from remote learning caused by Covid-19, and so much more.

Teachers also face real-life personal issues just like everyone else and these burdens don’t disappear when they go to work. At school, teachers can also face difficult professional challenges: overwhelming workloads, student discipline issues, lack of resources, legislative mandates, budget battles, building lockdowns, curriculum woes, disconnections with the community and so much more. The volume of internal and external noise has grown loud and hostile. Teacher burnout is real. With so much to think about and do on a daily basis, teachers may need an environment to renew, rejuvenate and receive encouragement for their spirit. Thankfully, there is one effective way to refresh the soul: Prayer.

Teachers Who Pray is a podcast dedicated to providing a quiet space for reflection and prayer for those working in the field of education. Spend some time with other educators on a spiritual journey designed to help you grow closer to God. Take part in weekly prayers led by inspiring members of Teachers Who Pray, a nonpartisan and nonprofit Christian organization that provides a community of prayer for educators. Educators from preschool through college are invited to find spiritual support and opportunities for professional growth. • Prayercast: Teachers’ Prayer Call For Kindness And Appropriate Attire
    May 23 2024

As we, Christian teachers, undergo development within our prayer life, we become more engaged and alive with what God is doing. "Know ye that Lord is God. It is He that made us, and not we. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture." Psalm 100:3. The more we commune with God, the closer we get, thus enabling us to hear God's voice and making it less difficult to follow the shepherd. This week's Supplication prayer will focus on Kindness and appropriate attire. Please join Teachers Who Pray in implementing our Prayer Power for 15 minutes of prayer (1% of your daily minutes) for teachers on the Weekly Monday Evening Zoom Prayer Meeting from 7-7:15 pm CT.
