About this listen

Join best-selling author Jon Ronson as he traces the story of one very strange butterfly effect: What happened after a teen in Brussels figured out how to make porn free and easily accessible on the internet. Traveling from the tech world of Silicon Valley to the San Fernando Valley, where most porn films were made, you learn the consequences of free porn, which turn out to be mysterious, shocking, sad, and, at times, even surprisingly sweet. A 7-part series takes you on a journey to places you'll never expect. [Explicit]

When you add The Butterfly Effect with Jon Ronson to your library you will receive all 7 episodes, each with a runtime of approximately 30 minutes.

I found this very interesting and highly engaging. I listened to it in one sitting, without a break

Fascinating

The story is interesting and worth a listen. That is, only if you can get over the narrator. The way he paces his words is mildly infuriating. He also puts an unnecessary emphasis on the words "porn" and "Fabian" when he says them (and trust me he says them very often). He also seems to be ver uncomfortable with the porn industry, making comments that come off as condescending, such as referring to those who work in the industry as "porn people".

Good story, terrible narrator

I've never been more moved by a book than I was by this. An absolutely incredible story, it's comedic, heart-breaking and an achingly beautiful representation of a part of humanity we tend not to talk about so much. I will recommend this to anyone who will listen.

Absolutely incredible
