After 15 days of being intubated ( and most of those days being in a coma), Jay finally gains his ability to speak!

My charades skills are tested as Jay finally becomes conscious enough to engage. This was a feat, as he was physically confined, and was still intubated. Nonetheless, interacting with him brought medicine to my heart, which I desperately needed. Every day, we continued to anticipate and expect favor and wisdom for the journey ahead.

June 22/23

A new day in the "Faith Chapter". Crazy faith...you need it when you're up against things you have little control over.

Jason's first 24 hours of slowly being brought out of his medically induced coma brought a new wave of emotions for me. For as much gratitude and excitement as I had, I also understood the process of walking him through everything that had happened, and everything to come would require a deeper level of strength.

Ten days post-fire. Jason remains in critical condition, recovering from surgery and fighting a life-threatening blood infection. Hear how my faith was challenged during an unexpected meeting with the head doctor of the ICU.
