I årene under og efter 2. Verdenskrig skaber varerationeringen den ideelle grobund for sortbørshandel. De har vidt forgrenede kontakter både i det kriminelle miljø og inden for Københavns Politi.

Et brandattentat mod Udlændingestyrelsens administrationsbygning og en efterfølgende pressemeddelelse til landets nyhedsredaktioner, hvor en gruppe kaldet "Homoaktion" tog ansvaret og henviste til udvisning af tre iranske homoseksuelle, satte gang i en efterforskning rettet mod det autonome miljø.

Hans tanker og interesse var rettet et helt andet sted hen.
