The price paid in the Sky Tower proved greater than I'd hoped. After banishing the avatar of a fallen god, my vessels well deserve their rest...and we'd all like a chance to grieve the fallen. A horde of deadly super villains have escaped from Grayville’s maximum security super-prison, and it's up my team to hunt them down. And The Shadow Knight is helping out. Unfortunately, that means we can’t kill these villains when we catch them without shattering our tenuous alliance with the hero. But as always, I’m one step ahead, and I have some surprises in store for both Shadow Knight and the bad guys that will change the power dynamic in Grayville forever.

Despite Selene’s attempt at manipulating him, Anthony is back on his feet–thanks to Marianne. His new vampire roommate has been proving talented at not just housework, but also at helping him with other matters. It’s only a matter of time before he takes their relationship to the next level. The peace conference is coming up soon, and many dignitaries are arriving on Academy Island to re-sign the Demonic Covenant, the treatise that allows humans and demons to co-exist. But there are people working in the background who do not want peace, and will stop at nothing to destroy it.

Sides are being taken and the curtain pulled back. The true architects of the attacks on Kyle are coming to light. The war god is now in control of his power and growing stronger by the day. He is ready to strike back, no matter if he must descend into the deepest pits of hell or climb to the highest heavens, he will stand victorious.

Nothing goes on in this city without me knowing about it. We run the whiskey business. We run the brothels. But it's not all fun and games. While we’ve eliminated our smaller rivals and obstacles, there are still powerful forces in the Elven empire and their Dwarven toadies who could topple our criminal empire. If my whiskey business is going to thrive it's going to take a little magic, all of their skills, a lotta luck, and the help of an enslaved djinn to overcome the odds against them. The risk is high, but the rewards are money, power, women, and revolution. Those are worth dying and killing for, so keep your blades sharp.

They have beaten the dungeon. Now they are launched out into a cold universe. The remnants of humanity need to find a new home. They will meet alien races. Some will be allies. Me and my bootlegging crew have had runaway success moving our illicit product throughout the city, and many of our rivals have been eliminated or brought into the family. Unfortunately, this success has drawn the attention of the domineering elven authorities, including the Guildmaster of the Thieves’ Guild and the Captain of the City Guard. I’ll have to get the authorities off our backs, keep the whiskey flowing, and continue to follow the lead of my magic keys. Or we’ll all end up dead.
