A wonderful adventure between a rich man and his butler. Again, P.G. Wodehouse come up with a great experience for all listeners.

The novel tells the story of impoverished, embarrassment-prone Archibald "Archie" Moffam and his difficult relationship with his art-collecting, hotel-owning, millionaire father-in-law, Daniel Brewster, who is the father of Archie's new bride, Lucille. Archie's attempts to ingratiate himself with Brewster only get him further into trouble.

A man touring Mammoth Cave separates from his guide and becomes lost. His torch expires and he is giving up hope of finding a way out in the pitch dark, when he hears strange non-human footsteps approaching him. Thinking it to be a lost mountain lion or other such beast, he picks up a stone and throws it toward the source of the sound. The beast is hit and crumples to the floor. The guide finds the protagonist back, and together they examine the fallen creature with the guide's torchlight.

"A curious experience? said the Doctor. Yes, my friends, I have had one very curious experience. I never expect to have another, for it is against all doctrines of chances that two such events would befall any one man in a single lifetime. You may believe me or not, but the thing happened exactly as I tell it." The opening lines of Arthur Conan Doyle's story "The Beetle Hunter" promise much and deliver as only Doyle can do.

Mark Twain's story, told from the standpoint of a courageous and loving she-dog, was first published in 1903. The story, by turns both funny and heartbreaking, begins with a description of her life as a puppy. As she grows, she is sold, then takes a mate and has a puppy, and her master and mistress have their first child. Her motives are misunderstood when she saves their baby from a fire and she is cruelly beaten....

A crime with no apparent motive, the murder of Willoughby Smith, invalid Professor Coram’s secretary, puzzles the great detective.

The Adventure of The Lion's Mane opens in Sussex in the summer of 1907 as the detective is enjoying his retirement by the seaside. As Holmes and his good friend Harold Stackhurst exchange warm greetings on this July morning, a well known science master, Fitzroy McPherson, suddenly staggers up from the beach and collapses. Within minutes he is dead, his body savagely raked by livid 'lashing' marks, such as those inflicted by a wire scourge. His dying words, "the Lion's Mane" begin Holmes' search....

Watson joins Holmes late one night as the detective takes on the case of an army officer who has died an apparently violent death. He is found in a pool of blood, his head savagely struck during an argument with his wife, who is now incapacitated by the traumatic event. Yet there is evidence that suggests the presence of a third party in the locked room - and even a strange, curtain-climbing animal of unknown origins.

Edgar Allan Poe's horrific short story is the account of a man's irreversible journey into madness as he awaits his execution by hanging the next morning. Fueled by bouts of alcoholism and what seems an inborn fatal streak of madness, his manic extremes of violence and guilt demand attacks upon the innocent to alay his own self-hatred.

It's a macabre piece, done in the style of the Black Museum, about the life of the infamous killer, Hawley Harvey Crippen

Sherlock Holmes is called in to investigate when the body of an Italian diplomat is discovered in the River Thames, his torso horrifically mutilated.
