I tried not to look at the men so that I could focus on keeping my movements silent. I certainly did not want to be detected. It was impossible, however, to keep my eyes completely off the terrifying drama unfolding before me. I was certain they planned to kill the man, and I had no way of helping him. The best I could do was get to safety and call the police. I had slunk my way to the left of them and was right alongside the river now. I crept along keeping a wary eye on the men.

I'd never fought more than one person at a time before, well, at least not outside of black belt training. But, that was just sparring. Still, I prepared myself just as I would in class. They attacked simultaneously from different sides. I side stepped while delivering a strike to one guy's gut. The other did manage to catch me in the chest and, though my momentum didn't allow him to get a good grip, it sent me sprawling.

Lela and the Alexanders are back on another case. The bodies are coming in fast and things between Lela and Jordan are heating up. The team will have to race against the clock to stop the murders and crack the case.
