Tom has been chosen to represent Earth in a galactic test of worth, hosted by aliens Zok and Glebe. Trying his best to not offend the aliens while educating them about Earth, Tom manages to anger the Space Queen and her fleet of space cruisers. Tom just wants to go home! But that won't be so easy when the President of the Galaxy decides to send him on a voyage that will last a whole zendar! Tune in to find out why Tom is having such a terrible time in space.

This production of The Lost World, based on the novel by Arthur Conan Doyle, was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 1975, and amongst the cast are Francis de Wolff, Gerald Harper, Carol Boyd and the renowned radio actor Carleton Hobbs. The story follows a 19th century expedition to enter the rumoured lair of animals thought to have died out millions of years before - a terrifying world of pterodactyls and other 'prehistoric monsters'.
