I have both read and now listened to this story and the audiobook just took this to a whole new level for me !! To put sound and a voice to the characters and their inner thoughts .., it’s just wow … so glad I have to listen to again and again …. The book its self is such a unique story with unforgettable twists and darkness.

Please check out trigger warnings on this one before reading!! With that said amazing and unique if you’re looking for a Pitch black book. With that said the narration can be hard to follow. The male narrater doesn’t really have tone changes at all between characters. So sometimes you loose track who is talking. I had to go back a few times to figure it out. And when it’s a conversation between 2 or more men it gets really confusing.

This book description doesn't give trigger warnings on Audible and within the first like 5 minutes the main woman is beat up by 3 men and then SA'd. I tried getting past it and made it to 3 hours in before I returned the book because all it was that far in was men beating and SA-ing women. primarily the main woman who suddenly likes it because she has some connection with the master of the place she was kidnapped to 14 years ago.
