Griffin spent his youth in four different countries, learning three languages, and burning all his bridges. He became a police officer in a major metropolitan police department in California, serving there for twenty years. He began his career as an author while working shifts in patrol, the courts, and the School Resource Officer Program, all of which has informed his writing in one way or another. Recently retired from the day job, he lives the good life in East Tennessee with his lovely wife and a pair of needy bengals. A lifelong player of tabletop RPGs, Griffin has always been interested in fantasy and SF of all types. True to his eclectic background and tastes, Griffin has written stories across the SF&F field, from: Alternate History, Hard SF, Space Opera, Dark (Very dark) Fantasy, to zombie fiction.
