Sara lived with chronic pain for almost two decades due to a rare autoimmune disease, which eventually left her confined to her home. She passed away at the age of 38. If anyone had a reason to focus on the unfairness of life, it was Sara. Yet, she achieved what few can: she chose to embrace joy. Sara's sister, Laura, was determined to keep Sara's spirit-led mission alive. In 2011, after losing both her father and her sister, Laura felt called to continue Sara's message of "Choose Joy." She also shares her own journey through divorce, loss, and breast cancer. Laura is a speaker, coach, and teacher with the John Maxwell Team.
