We enjoyed all four prior Hawthorne's but this one is a master class in how to write a mystery. Agatha would applaud.

It’s good, but not the quality of the previous books. The narration is still stellar.

Weakest of the Hawthorn series

I fell in love with the series from a very first book (although it may have not been the first in the series) and this one will live in my head rent free! Oh, and narrator deserves an oscar for the performance!
