À propos de cet audio

The Dungeon is a place of magic and mystery, a vast branching, underground labyrinth that has changed the world and the people who dare to enter its depths. Those who brave its challenges are rewarded with wealth, fame, and powerful classes that set them apart from the rest.

Ken was determined to follow the footsteps of his family and become one of the greatest adventurers the world has ever known. He knows that the only way to do that is to get into one of the esteemed Dungeon colleges, where the most promising young adventurers gather.

Despite doing fantastic on the entrance exam, when his class is revealed, everyone turns their backs on him, all except for one.

The most powerful adventurer, Crimson, invites him to the one college he never thought he’d enter. Haylon, an all girls college.

Ken sets out to put together a party and master the skills he'll need to brave the Dungeon's endless dangers. But he soon discovers that the path ahead is far more perilous than he could have ever imagined.

coming in late to the series and seeing 8 books and 1 on the way for a total of 9, made me excited to see how Bruce would build up this world and introduce a brand new cast of characters. the book is humorous, the sex/smut is well placed and easy to see coming. the world building happens before anything super serious between the characters, the magic system is very well done and leaves lots for the future to expand upon in the further titles. I will be rating and reviewing all the books as I go through them.

Last bit to add for a first book, I feel some of the things happened a bit fast, we're it another world and in a different style of writing I'd say some parts were a bit hasty, but overall I think It held a steady flow and I enjoyed it. time to find out how the rest of Ken's adventures go!

the voice actors Did an excellent job.

It's a good enough story, though the audio balancing was off between the loud female voice and the soft male voice. I was expecting some level of lewd content - look at the cover, of course I was. I was not, however, expecting a full blown sex scene in detail. It hasn't put me off the series, but a warning would have been really nice to have.

really needs a smut warning

Performance is fine. I do agree that the woman's voice is louder.
World building is pretty poor with little structure. The author made the poor choice of making spells require their names to be shouted.
The worst part by far is the characters. Everyone acts like they are somewhere between 4 and 14. Emotionally everyone is a child, with the main character having nothing likeable about them.

Childish

This book veers back and forth between fun, interesting and way over the top. It's a modern world in which there's a massive dungeon that grants magic classes to everyone, and the economy of the world is based around exploration of it in small parties, which lends itself to forming harems. Okay, fine. Not the greatest explanation that I've ever seen for a haremlit book, but I'll take it. Oh, and he's a ninja assassin trained by his grandfather. The main character ends up as an Aberrant with no known class, which is terrible... but somehow gets chosen to get into one of the most prestigious academies in the world. Which only accepts women. Because their star teacher saw his potential to be limitless and has decided to mold him into her ideal man, apparently. Okaaaaay. And then he gets into the college, where he quickly forms his own harem of girls who fall in love with him after a single day. Okaaaaaaaaaay. So in love that one will violate her family's rules to share her secret ritual to give him a demon-based second class, and he proceeds to bind a demon lord, making him super strong. Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. And then he accidentally proposes marriage to an elven princess, who reveals that his unknown class is actually an Emperor class, which is not only superpowered but also gives him the power to bond with hundreds of women. You know, I'm starting to think this book is pure wish fulfillment. And then add in a wacky, perverted comic relief - the only lesbian in the book - and it's hard to swallow.

I enjoyed the book well enough, but it's definitely just fluff. The voice acting is superb, though!

A little too wish fulfillment, but otherwise good
