Gory and dark with an intriguing storyline that pulls in elements of Lovecraftian lore. Moments of this book (that will live in my mind for a long while) actually creeped me out, which is quite a difficult accomplishment. I found this novel reminiscent of Stephen King’s “It” with a sprinkle of the 2011 movie “The Cabin in the Woods”—both of which I love. “The Home” is truly ambitious and well written—absolutely loved it! Judith Sonnet is a very talented horror author.
