The performances are unbelievable. Really taking audiobooks to another level. I like the special effect noises and some of the music really added to the ambiance, but could have been dialed back a bit (too loud and too frequent).

The story was incredibly unique and well crafted. My ONLY critique is the love story seemed to come out of nowhere. It felt like lust for the MMC once he found the only person who could touch him. They didn’t have much in common and it almost felt like a trauma bond for the FMC after her initial death.

The cast of narrators sure brought the story to vivid life. I stumbled across an ad for this book via a Facebook reel, and the premise sounded interesting. I am familiar with Joe Arden as a narrator, and have him categorized in my narrator notes as "Heck Yes!" Naturally, I was curious to see what he'd co-authored!

Our FMC is truly strong, in mind, if not in body. I loved her personality. She balanced goodness, with genuineness and strength, which I appreciate. She's not a naive creature, which we see too often in the genre. Breath of fresh air! Our MMC, was so intriguing. I enjoyed the peek at his back story, his capacity for moral greyness, and the "I will f*ck you up if you touch her," vibes.

The banter between the two protagonists was so well done. it didn't take away from the story, but rather, enhanced it, making the characters feel authentic and relatable. I thoroughly enjoyed their quick-witted verbal volleys, and found myself laughing out loud quite a few times.

There are some highly emotive scenes. I was startled once, at finding I had shed a few tears at one point. A good story makes you feel all the feels!

The Otherworld concept is so unique. I could see some forays into other characters' stories being possible in the future (keeping eyes peeled!).

I haven't read any other books by DJ Krimmer, so this book has enticed me to check some others out.

Overall, an awesome read!

What a great book! The story was so so good, and the narration was perfect from all of them. Not as spicy as I originally thought it would be, but when it did, it was HOT AF. Obviously Joe Arden is a dream come true, and Big D was HILARIOUS. One of the most entertaining books Ive listened to, highly recommend it.

Quite frankly the best audiobook I have ever listened. Grim and Prue’s banter is hilarious. Loved the full cast and musical score. Thank you for it!

How does a book this good even exist!? It made me laugh hysterically while wanting to cry at times. The narration is impeccable and the story left me in a daze. The sound effects were so well done that I flinched more than once while driving thinking glass really shattered by me.

This is one of the best books I’ve listened to in perhaps years, and as someone who uses mass consumption of books to disassociate from real life; that is an impressive feat.

Bravo to the team that made this piece of art a reality, you truly outdid yourselves.

The way this story had me clutching my sides because they hurt from laughing so hard to ugly crying to laughing again was just insane!
The chemistry and well timed humour in the audio was so on point.
I loved this story so much, I am now waiting for my trophy book to arrive!
