Loved everything about this book. Hilarious story and characters, excellent wordplay, fantastic journey. Loved it from beginning to end. Would love more stories in this universe!

Fun, funny, and flawless

I did this book in audio and it was amazing. A bit long in places but still wonderful and a bit scary. I did appreciate the humour which helped to soften some parts that were a bit rough. I would recommend this book to those that could appreciate it’s story line.

This book initially disguises itself as a profane children's book on drugs, but bends and wrenches its plot into a masterpiece in the highest literary order. Kira has mastered the English language (and I suspect other languages as well), painting such glorious images, both gory and beautiful, within the mind's eye.

Highly recommended!

If you like the first two chapters, you will probably like the rest of the book. The only tone change that will get added will be battles. I wish there were less battles and more descriptions on how the change impacts the environment: plastics, fossil fuels, power generation, invasive species, etc.

I will not be getting the sequel

Most books that write about darkness, get lost in the darkness, and become this slog of depression words. You need the humor to balance it, so it doesn't become that slog, and this book gets it. This book is a beautiful marriage of dark and humor. ST, the main character, is also wonderfully (and sometimes painfully) positive, but it really works.
The story is adorable, for how dark it is if you really think about what's actually going on, and it's such a thrill to listen to.

This book was weird and fun and interesting and beautiful and heart wrenching all at once! I adored the way the story was told and now every time I see a crow I think of their little internal monologue with this narrator’s voice haha a really fun take on the zombie genre as well and incredible well done
