À propos de cet audio

Meet our hero....

Gareth St. Clair is in a bind. His father, who detests him, is determined to beggar the St. Clair estates and ruin his inheritance. Gareth’s sole bequest is an old family diary, which may or may not contain the secrets of his past...and the key to his future. The problem is - it’s written in Italian, of which Gareth speaks not a word.

Meet our heroine....

All the ton agreed: There was no one quite like Hyacinth Bridgerton. She’s fiendishly smart, devilishly in small doses. But there’s something about her - something charming and vexing - that grabs him and won’t quite let go....

Meet poor Mr. Mozart....

Or don’t. But rest assured, he’s spinning in his grave when Gareth and Hyacinth cross paths at the annual - and annually discordant - Smythe-Smith musicale. To Hyacinth, Gareth’s every word seems a dare, and she offers to translate his diary, even though her Italian is slightly less than perfect. But as they delve into the mysterious text, they discover that the answers they seek lie not in the diary, but in each other...and that there is nothing as simple - or as complicated - as a single, perfect kiss.

This one had me smiling and swooning all the way through. Hyacinth is my favorite of the Bridgerton ladies, and I really enjoyed Lady Danbury's involvement in the story as well. I loved Gareth for Hyacinth, and love the fact we discover he is her perfect match mainly because her strength and intelligence is too much (too "annoying") for every other man of the ton. I also found the story remained fairly light-hearted all the way through and that Gareth and Hyacinth seemed truly great friends right from the start. The whole thing was just so sweet and playful.

My favorite Bridgerton book yet

This is the best of them all so far, mysterious and exciting. Would highly recommend.

Fav of the series so far!

I love how Hyacinth and Gareth's friendship blossomed into something more; and that even in the end, the root of their friendship (the whole reason how and why they became friends) did not end up as a lost cause.
When it comes to Gareth's identity, I find it to repetitive, too drawn out that there are times, it seemed boring; I am quite disappointed with how the Baron reacted, I was hoping for a more elaborate reaction that would benefit Gareth of course.

Exciting, I caught myself biting my nails!

I really enjoyed the inclusion of a few mysteries in this book. And I loved that Lady D is featured more so in this volume. Hit the right balance of fun, set up, romance for me!

Bit of mystery

The seventh book in the BRIDGERTON series follows the romance of Hyacinth Bridgerton and Gareth Sinclair as they hunt for family secrets and a plethora of diamonds, all while swiftly falling in love.

I was quickly reminded why Hyacinth was always one of my favourite Bridgertons. She's funny, charming, and always eager to go on an adventure. She is a perfect match for the rascal, if slightly more relaxed Gareth. Their unlikely friendship swiftly blooms into romance, and they became one of my favourite couples of the series. Their banter is nonstop and while I felt their relationship moved a little quickly, I was happy to see it bloom as they moved from one bit of mischief to the next.

The plot was pretty exciting and engaging, the dialogue as well written as ever, and I appreciated cameos from fan favorite characters. I especially loved the role that Lady Danbury had, since her razor wit kept me laughing every time she had a sacy reply.

These books remain a delight and comfort, and I know I will love the final book in the series. A definite recommend for lovers of Victorian romance!
