Finishes a gripping story
Fantastic ending to the Alanna quartet. Very satisfying. I recommend this quartet highly. Well read, great characterization

Finished with a huge smile
This series will never get old for me. Alanna is so inspiring. I first read these books as a 12 year old. My beloved dog who had been with me my whole life had just died and reading these really helped me be distracted from my grief. Since then I've come back to them way too many times to count. I love these characters, I love this story and it was a delight to be able to hear these books in audio format. By the end of the book I know I had a huge smile and I probably giggled. Tamora Pierce gave a true gift to the world when she created the Tortall Universe.
