My only negative is the writing could be better and often over explains things, but the world L.M. Kerr created is great and will keep me coming back! looking forward to book 3.

well, I like the story, the narrator, and the writing. thing is, event though the writing is quality.... well the author took and ENTIRE CHAPTER to describe one fight sequence. when you are going thru a right sequence, it's an action movie. you want fast paced. you want a hot, instense, heart pounding story. you don't want a time jump to explain how he did something. that's okay... if you didn't change character views twice and retell everything that just happened from another point of view. so tldr, good story, bad flow at times.

Story is rich and very immersive, narrator does a factastic job, can't wait for the saga to continue.

The MC is strong but not invincible relying on his wits and knowledge to gain an advantage, If you like isekai and fantasy but want something more serious than a typical hero harem, give this book series a try; I'm certain you will enjoy it.

It's a fun story, narration is good, the world is interesting. But, due to the nature of the story, the MC is always pulling something new out of his bag of tricks to handle any situation, so you can't try to predict anything, you just got to go along with. "ah, ah, I concocted a poison with electric properties that no one on this layer knows about"!

But it's fun anyway, I'll get the next one.
