It doesn’t take a legendary sword to make a legendary swordsman, but it certainly helps.

Keras Selyrian is already well on the way to cutting his name into the annals of legend. He’s fought false divinities, thieving sorcerers, and corrupt demigods - and left them defeated in his wake.

But he’s a long way from home, and Kaldwyn offers a different brand of danger than he’s used to. He’s already got a sword of unfathomable power, but it’s damaged and leaking world-annihilating mana, so he’s in the market for a new one. Possibly six. The more the better, really.

The Six Sacred Swords are Kaldwyn’s most famous artifacts, forged as the only means to defeat the god beasts. Each sword must be earned by a worthy champion, and no single person has ever managed to collect them all.

Not yet, at least. Keras is just getting started.

Six Sacred Swords is a lighthearted fantasy adventure inspired by Japanese game series like The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Fire Emblem. It takes place in the same universe as the Arcane Ascension novels, but years earlier and with a different protagonist. While the books are interconnected, they can be listened to on their own in any order.

There are many good things to say about this series, I enjoy the style, humour, and characters. I have to say that Nick Podehl is probably my favorite Narrator to listen to. Every character feels like it's own person if that makes sense, he adds accents and nuances to their speach to make them all unique

The idea of the book is good and interesting but the actual execution of the story doesn’t sit well with me. The main character has a crazy sense of moral obligation that far surpasses What you would see in any other book in a bad way the main character to the point where he’s trying to save made up beings because they have their own feelings. It just made the book feel weird because of how unnecessary it all is.

I couldn't put this book (and the whole series) down. I was enthralled start to finish.

Another Masterpiece

    Six Sacred Swords, is the 7th book in Andrew Rowe's wonderful world. It also begins the next series of 3. 

  In this book we follow Karis Celerion, in relaying to Corin Cadence and friends, about him arriving on their continent. His experience in befriending a spirit dragon named Rekha and one of the six sacred swords, Dawn Bringer. Who just happens to be an intelligent sword. 

   Once again Andrew has impressed me. While maintaining a well passed writing, animated characters, fun and scary moments, action in an adventurous world. He has perked my attention with Dawn Bringer. The dialogue between her and Karis and how their friendship grows has gotten me even more emotionally involved in the book's. 

     Nick Podehl continues his excellent work as narrator of Andrew's world. Verbally bringing to life the many charters and articulating what happens in a very professional manner.

    Truly dear readers this is a worthwhile read/listen. If you are a fan of adventure, magic, intrigue. This author is very talented and I am looking forward to hearing many more great stories.

     Truly, as ever, I give my deepest thanks to all involved in the creation, production, distribution of thies great stories. Keep up the good work.

It's ear popcorn: fun to consume but without much substance. Keras is already powerful when we pick up the journey - though fights get tough for him, it's hard to take seriously when he's capable of simply cutting through doors and puzzles because it's faster. Although, that might be the point - the story is a little silly and fun but doesn't seem to matter much to what's going on in the Arcane Ascension story. Performance was clear and well-voiced, easy way to kill some time.

I enjoyed the arcane affection books more, but honestly this is book one so I can't judge it on just that. Still very enjoyable though and great world building to help me understand better.
