À propos de cet audio

After her first two weeks observing the problems at DecisionTech, Kathryn Petersen, its new CEO, had more than a few moments when she wondered is she should have taken the job. But Kathryn knew there was little chance she would have turned it down. After all, retirement had made her antsy, and nothing excited her more than a challenge. What she could not have known when she accepted the job, however, was just how dysfunctional her team was, and how team members would challenge her in ways that no one ever had before.

In The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, Patrick Lencioni once again offers a leadership fable that is as enthralling and instructive as his first two bestselling books, The Five Temptations of a CEO and The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive. This time, he turns his keen intellect and storytelling power to the fascinating, complex world of teams.Executive Producer: Karen DiMattia

being in a story from, it is very easy to understand the concepts and how they can effect a team and how to overcome them. so much easier to absorb than typical team leadership books

Short but a wonderful job done trying to communicate a point using a fictional story. Albeit fictional, the story is extremely relatable and the tensions in the story is fully palpable and completely believable. Highly recommend, definitely will learn something from this story despite the conciseness of the book.

Amazingly relatable

The story was really well made for us to understand the 5 dysfunctions of a team. all the example used in this are relatable to personal experience. I will recommend this book to many co-workers. I like that even at CEO/VPs level, they realized that spending time on creating a good team is better than let everyone do their own piece of business on their own

very well explained

The first half of the book is a story about a fictional company with certain characters in it. The second half of the book explores the actual five disfunctions of a team and as a leader, how you can deal with them.

Good book, worth a read.

at just under 4 hours in length, this is a fast listen. The story line is actually really good and works to make it a very understandable book. i've listened to it twice now and have gotten more out of it the second time. I can really see similarities to teams i have been on in the past. I recommend for anyone frustrated with why their team does not gel. it is a good first swipe at what the underlying issues are. Of course you still need to do the work to fix it but at least you will know the whys.

Relevant and Easy to grasp

I do enjoy when concepts that are somehow difficult to explain or that need experience in order to be fully understood are presented in the form of a story, that helps the listener or reader to engage with the main caracter and the concept is delivered more efficiently. That I wasn't expecting from this book and it was a good surprise. I enjoyed it from cover to cover.

Recommended to start your formal team building
