Why does it feel so natural to be compassionate and kind to those we care about - yet so hard to treat ourselves the same way? "Our culture teaches us to use self-criticism for motivation and to build self-esteem by constantly measuring ourselves against everyone else," says Dr. Kristin Neff. "We need to re-learn the essential skill of being genuinely nurturing and supportive toward ourselves."

In business, the right behaviors matter. But getting it right is tricky. Even when we acknowledge the need to change what we do and how we do it, life has a habit of getting in the way, upsetting even the best-laid plans. And just how do we manage those situations that can provoke even the most rational among us into behaving in ways we would rather forget?

For years Ryder Carroll tried countless organizing systems, online and off, but none of them fit the way his mind worked. Out of sheer necessity, he developed a method called the Bullet Journal that helped him become consistently focused and effective. Then it went viral. To his astonishment, Bullet Journaling is now a global movement. The Bullet Journal Method is about much more than organizing your notes and to-do lists. It's about what Carroll calls "intentional living": weeding out distractions and focusing your time and energy in pursuit of what's truly meaningful.

IFS reveals how the subpersonalities or "parts" of each individual's psyche relate to each other like members of a family, and how - just as in a family - polarization among parts can lead to emotional suffering. IFS originator Richard Schwartz and master clinician Martha Sweezy explain core concepts and provide practical guidelines for implementing IFS with clients who are struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, addiction, and other behavioral problems.

ACT is great
Too heavy for listening while doing something else. More of the type of book to actually read instead of listening to, but content is great.

It’s genuinely changed my life
I don’t have enough words for how this book has helped me. I have shared it with everyone I know. I have bought the hard copy after hearing the audio book just so I can make notes. I feel heard, seen, and validated for the first time in my life. I got this book at the perfect time (I’ve had a life time of trauma, struggle with rumination depression and anxiety, and last year, at 35 years old, i was diagnosed with ADHD. it’s been really hard for me. It’s like I don’t know who I am. This book helped me start identifying this and gave me the tools to move forward.) I’m so grateful for its information and I can’t wait to keep diving deeper into ACT and establish a consistent practice and become who I am meant to be.
Thank you Russ Harris. Thank you so so much. There is more information in this book than any other “self help” book I’ve ever read. He doesn’t impose beliefs or ideas on you like a lot seem to, he simply shares his knowledge in a kind, and numerous way. I can’t wait to listen to it all over again.
Buy this book. Listen to it. Do what it recommends. It will honestly change your life.
Thank you so much for finally providing the information I needed. I’ve been searching for this my whole life.
