Fabulous information. It shows how Christianity had repackaged Genital worship and turned it into a personality (ie Yeshua) removed the drug (shroom) out of original practice and turn the Euchrist into a placebo - no active ingredient to know the divine.

Certainly not light reading and I would advise the printed book to go with this. Some parts are easier if you can see the words and familiarize yourself that way.
As an exploration into the consequences of the Dead Sea scrolls and the fallout that happened with the other investigators would bring greater depth to what is being looked at here but this is a scholarly work that really brings up important questions about early Christianity and abrahamic religions vs what we see toady. Definitely worth the time if you like to see how a forensic eye looks at ancient texts.

was good , but the connection to everything being a phallus or erect was a bit much , I did enjoy the book

I mean, it’s difficult. You need to take his word for it but he was the preeminent scholar chosen to translate the Dead Sea scrolls for a reason. He didn’t go to the scrolls to find this he was simply translating them and then discovered this information. It’s possible it’s all bunk but it’s also possible it’s all true. The real truth is somewhere in between most likely.

This is a really great book, just tough to listen to. If I hear anyone ever say pre-posited asterisk in real life I’ll lose it. Interesting topic, well thought out and is something you have to pay attention to.
