Tim Gerard Reynolds performance was amazing. The story was not great, Will’s extreme heel turn was extremely weird and off-putting and totally ruined the experience.

I really like the first 4 books in the series until the 5 book, not sure what the writer was thinking. This last book was rushed and ended poorly.

Very disappointing ending

The performance was outstanding. Applause for Mr. Reynolds! The action was exciting, but telegraphed in spots. Which is fine.

But the end-game plot and seemingly random character motivations ruined the series for me.

It felt like watching the final episode of Game Of Thrones where a few main characters of the series have motivations and reactions that just don't work with the rest of the series.

Most of the book is great. But the artificial-feeling ending leaves you feeling hollow, and cheated because the character flaws felt conveniently made up.

Like TV's Game Of Thrones, or LOST, you're left thinking "I came all this way for nothing?!"

I don't think a future book 6 would be able fix the damage done to the characters. I just don't like them anymore.

I felt like the characters were too accepting of going to the dark side, but this was a bit extreme. kinda inconsistent too since sometimes they were fine with dark magic and sometimes they were cool with it. I guess the moral of the story is "helping people destroys your life" lol. overall I enjoyed it still. sound quality varied sometimes the recording sounded off in parts and I could notice the cuts.

They’re all very enjoyable, intriguing, as-well-as emotional. I look forward to Will’s next adventure series. Also, I love Tim’s narration, and hope you continue to have him ad your narrator

story is full of strange moments where the characters do things that don’t line up with who they have been over the last four books. A few large plot holes and very unsatisfying end that just made little sense. Hopefully there is another book to come that makes sense of the mess made in this one.

A weird book compared to the last 4

To me this ending was one I enjoyed because it wasn't all flowers and rainbows. Will's protectiveness of his loved ones drives him to ultimately stifle their potential, and his poor communication alienates them. As a result of trying to avoid pain by protecting them, this selfishness inadvertently causes him more pain in the end.

It would have been a much more satisfying ending if Will had learned to let his loved ones take risks on his behalf. But in spite of being warned, he still persists in his selfish protectiveness, and everything doesn't work out perfectly for him.

There were some parts of the narration where names were mispronounced compared to earlier books, which was a bit strange. Also I didn't like that Will's second innate talent causes him to kind of lose his moral compass. It seemed a bit random, where before only excessive power (like from a ritual) had this effect. It seems like innate power shouldn't be overwhelming to this same degree.

The villian death in this book is brutal and weighty feeling, along with a more appropriate build up. In some of the earlier books the fights can feel a little too quick and easy for the description of how tough Will's opponents are meant to be.

Overall I thought this ending was more fitting than a pleasant ending would have been.

Why is it Female fantasy characters get so triggered by The Hero wanting to protect them. Great series, Amazing narrator, F that spoilt B Celene:)

The first 4 books I could not read fast enough but this one took some effort a few time I thought about just stoppin, I did enjoy most of it but skipped close to 10 chapters.

I actually liked this series, I like the characters, and the system until the end of this book. If this is the last book, I don't know what the Author is thinking. The MC's wins only to lose, then pretty much throws away everything for mediocrity. He could have won, but chooses the crappiest path that makes nothing of what he became. It's like in the end nothing mattered. His grandmother even told him not to do what his Grandfather did, and he doesn't listen.

I think the author must have been fed up with this series, and just crapped on the ending on purpose.
