À propos de cet audio

It’s Robert Kiyosaki’s position that, “It is our educational system that causes the gap between the rich and everyone else.” He laid the foundation for many of his messages in the international bestseller Rich Dad Poor Dad - the #1 Personal Finance book of all time - and in Why the Rich Are Getting Richer, he makes his case....

In this book, the listener will learn why the gap between the rich and everyone else grows wider.

In this book, the listener will get an explanation of why savers are losers.

In this book, the listener will find out why debt and taxes make the rich richer.

In this book, the listener will learn why traditional education actually causes many highly educated people, such as Robert’s poor dad, to live poorly.

In this book, the listener will find out why going to school, working hard, saving money, buying a house, getting out of debt, and investing for the long term in the stock market is the worst financial advice for most people.

In this book, the listener will learn the answers Robert found on his life-long search, after repeatedly asking the question, “When will we learn about money?”

In this book, the listener will find out why real financial education may never be taught in schools.

In this book, the listener will find out “What financial education is...really.”

As mentioned in the book, this is the graduate school version of Rich Dad Poor Dad. I have loved listening to every second of this book, often stopping, respecting segments to make sure I fully get it. I will be listening to it again right away. I read/listen to many books on money and spirituality, and this particular one was my favourite. I now have a better grasp on the tax allocation system. I feel like I can make better decisions right away because of the knowledge I’ve gained. I can’t believe I’ve already finished the book, it was so yummy. I want more!

BEST OF THE BEST

I've never read Rich Dad Poor Dad but I understood the message he was getting across. The old fashion way of going to school, getting a degree, and landing a high paying job days is ancient history. If you really want to be very wealthy. Being an entrepreneur is the way to go. He doesn't dress it up and uses layman terms to explain his points. My issue is when he talks about rich dad and lessons he learned as a child, which according to internet sources is made up fiction. Regardless the message still holds weight. Like all things we are a changing society and with it the gap between the rich and the poor. He talks about what sets the two apart. It makes sense. I'd like to continue reading more books on personal finance and will continue to educate myself. This is not a book that explains how to get from a to z but just breaks down in layman terms what really drives the economy. 8/10.

Interesting insight

Great read, motivated me to get into realestate, start businesses, and avoid employment. Very good examples were used to explain things. The book repetitive, but that's a good thing. I remember the concepts better because of hearing it more than once.

Very motivational book!

There is a fair bit of good information in this book but it was never written with Audible in mind. The structure of the book does not lend itself to a good listening experience. I would recommend you buy the kindle edition and use your hard earned money to buy another audio book that flows better.

This is a link I found on the author - the show is called Marketplace and they investigate and review potential scams;
https://www.cbc.ca/news/rich-dad-seminars-deceptive-marketplace-1.877709

I don't know, it's like the author is just telling his story and how it worked out for him. He keeps mentioning a $385 real estate course that he took and that it was the best money he ever spent. I believe he offers a similar course not sure of the price (check the link above). All these millionaires got rich in the real estate business - which a lot of people could've (and have!) done if they had been (or were) in his shoes - does that make them a genius? No the markets were just good and they made a fortune before the next crash. Also the game he invented that he mentions many times is also for sale at around $185 Canadian - for a game. He mentions he learned on Monopoly but last time I checked Parker Bros. wasn't charging nearly that much - for the most popular game in the world. That and the many books he has for sale makes me think that the authors of these financial books are there to make more money for themselves. What better way than to sell advice that, if you don't use, could be construed as your own fault because you're just "not motivated" - all the while you get poorer for buying these books and games while he reaps the rewards.

That aside - I am going to try to use some of the info without buying anything from him except this audiobook. It is very informative and I intend to re-listen to it several times. Perhaps then I will get a greater understanding of what It has to teach. The way the government gives tax breaks to the rich was certainly an eye-opener! Made me understand both much more.

P.S. If I get rich I will be back to offer an update (and a book) lol

Pretty informative...

Very general pointers without concrete directions. The contents of this book can probably be summarized into one chapter.

Quite repetitive
