  • Anchored E11: A Royal Priesthood
    Jul 15 2025

Written and Recorded by Dallas Block

In this episode of Rock Solid Devotional, we reflect on 1 Peter 2:9–10 and the powerful identity given to believers: a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. This is not just a future promise, but a present reality that calls us to proclaim God’s goodness and live with honour.

Our words and actions should reflect the mercy we’ve received and the light we now walk in. Whether through the fruit of the Spirit or bold stands for God’s truth, our identity in Christ sets us apart in a world often opposed to its Creator. We are His—now and forever.

Key Scripture: 1 Peter 2:9–10 – “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood… that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

  • Anchored E10: Raised for our Justification
    Jul 11 2025

Written and Recorded by Dallas Block

In this episode of Rock Solid Devotional, we revisit the moment Jesus appears to Thomas in John 20:26–29, offering physical proof of His resurrection. Thomas responds with a powerful declaration of faith, and Jesus blesses all who believe without seeing—a promise that extends to us today.

The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of Christian faith. If it’s true—and it is—then Jesus is worthy of our full trust and allegiance. In every challenge we face, we are invited to turn first to the One who conquered death and lives to care for us.

Key Scripture: John 20:26–29 – “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

  • Anchored E9: Do you love me?
    Jul 9 2025

Written and Recorded by Dallas Block

In this episode of Rock Solid Devotional, we reflect on Jesus’ tender yet direct restoration of Peter in John 21:15–19. After Peter’s denial, Jesus doesn’t avoid the pain—He addresses it head-on by repeatedly asking, “Do you love me?” Through this conversation, Jesus affirms Peter’s love and commissions him to care for others.

True love doesn’t minimize wrongs but moves through them with forgiveness and purpose. Our restored relationship with Jesus becomes the foundation for how we love, serve, and forgive others. His love compels us to live differently and invest in His people with grace.

Key Scripture: John 21:15–19 – “Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep… Follow me.’”

  • Anchored E8: Do not run aimlessly
    Jul 7 2025

Written and Recorded by Dallas Block

In this episode of Rock Solid Devotional, we reflect on 1 Corinthians 9:24–27 and the call to live with eternal focus. Just as athletes train for a temporary prize, followers of Christ are called to discipline their lives for a reward that never fades.

We all aim at something, even when it feels like we’re drifting. Through a personal story of faith and sacrifice, we’re reminded that a life grounded in Christ, not comfort, is one that endures. Don't run aimlessly—run to win what truly matters.

Key Scripture: 1 Corinthians 9:24–27 – “So I do not run aimlessly… but I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”

  • Anchored E7: Living with the end in mind
    Jul 3 2025

Written and Recorded by Dallas Block

In this episode of Rock Solid Devotional, we reflect on Paul’s words in 2 Timothy 4:6–8 as he nears the end of his life. He describes his life as a drink offering—fully poured out for Christ—and expresses confidence that his sacrifice was worth it, with the hope of a crown of righteousness laid up for him in eternity.

We are reminded that living with the end in mind helps us focus on what truly matters. Paul’s example challenges us to live as a daily offering, prioritizing eternal significance over temporary distractions. Whether we die young or old, it is how we’ve lived for Christ that will endure.

Key Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:6–8 – "For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."

  • Anchored E6: See the Salvation of the Lord
    Jul 1 2025

In this episode of Rock Solid Devotional, we pause to reflect on God’s powerful promise through Moses: “The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” (Exodus 14:14)

Set in the tension-filled moments before the crossing of the Red Sea, this passage captures the human tendency to panic in the face of fear, uncertainty, and seemingly impossible circumstances. But just as God brought Israel out of Egypt by His power alone, He also calls us to live each day in confidence that He is still fighting for us.

The Exodus story reminds us that salvation has always been God’s work—from the blood on the doorposts to the parting of the sea. And just like the Israelites, we’re invited to trust daily, to walk forward even when the way is unclear, and to silence our fear with faith.

    Reflection Questions:

    • Where in your life do you feel like you're standing at the edge of the Red Sea?
    • Are you trying to fight your own battles, or are you standing still and trusting God to act?
    • How can you begin your day with faith, hope, and love instead of fear, panic, or anxiety?

  • Anchored E5: Wretched Man that I am
    Jun 27 2025

In today’s Rock Solid Devotional, we explore the raw honesty of the Apostle Paul in Romans 7:24–8:4. Despite his faith and commitment, Paul declares, "Wretched man that I am!"—a confession that echoes the struggle every believer faces. The war between the flesh and the Spirit is real, ongoing, and familiar to anyone walking with God.

Yet Paul doesn't stop at despair. He points us to the incredible truth: There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Salvation doesn't come from self-effort or moral performance, but from a Spirit-filled life made possible through Christ’s sacrifice. The key is not to fight sin with fleshly effort, but to surrender daily to the power of the Holy Spirit.

Whether you feel defeated or discouraged by your sin, this devotional is a powerful reminder that God’s mercy is new every morning—and His Spirit is more than enough to help us walk in freedom.

    Reflection Questions:

    • How do you respond when you feel the weight of your own sin?
    • Are you trying to overcome your struggles in your own strength, or leaning on the Holy Spirit?
    • What would it look like today to live in the freedom Christ has already won for you?
