    We had the most powerful weekend with the attendees of the Rooted Summit: A Mother-Son weekend! It was a wild time but it was also a time of so much introspection. Moms walked away forever changed and Boys set off on a new trajectory.

    This episode is a recap of the weekend. Partially, so people can hear about it and get excited that we are making change but also partially because the whole experience of this event was so overwhelming that I, personally, needed a brain dump.

    In this conversation, Kim and I walk through the more nutrition side of things. We discuss the difference between nutrition and nourishment, some key thoughts on how confusing the food landscape can be (that's why nourishment is a better approach than nutrition for most people), and some real life guidelines for making that work.

    * I tell you four of the five questions to ask yourself before you eat that.... so here they are:

    1. Would your great-grandmother recognize that food?

    2. How many steps did it take to get to that form/state/etc?

    3. Does that color occur in nature?

    4. What claims is it making? Buyer beware!

    5. How many ingredients are on the back?
