This week Anne and Michael continue with the third episode in the faith in funeral series with Pastor Bob Davies.
Pastor Bob is the Pastoral Team Leader at Kanata Baptist Church in the west end of Ottawa where he’s been on staff since October 2008. Before coming to Ottawa, Bob served at Christian Baptist Church in Newmarket for several years, and before that, Bob served at Inglewood United Baptist in the African United Baptist Association in Nova Scotia. His primary theological interests have revolved around the grounding for human identity, individual liberty, and related matters.
Bob’s ministry came to include concern for victims of violent crime after meeting the Wamback family in Newmarket, and received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for his support for victims of crime, including leading some sessions on traumatic grief and spirituality for the Rebuilding Shattered Lives workshops put on by the Canadian Parents of Murdered Children (CPOMC).
Bob is married to Michelle, and they have two children, Kayleigh who is 17, and Owain, who is 16 and has Down Syndrome.
