    On this episode of the CSEP Podcast marginalized populations are discussed with our guests Cotie Guzman and Kate Andrews.

    Cotie Guzman is the proud owner of Cotie Guzman Fitness an Edmonton based personal trainer. Cotie's training focuses on  creating a friendly and inclusive space in order to help the 2SLGBTQ+  community get started with their fitness. He works with individuals who  are new and/or scared to make their first steps in a gym setting  creating that bridge from precontemplation to action/maintenance.     Kate Andrews is the Chair of the CSEP Professional Standards Program® and is also the Chair of the personal fitness trainer program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

    On this episode listeners are also introduced to the future host of  Season 4 of the CSEP Podcast Abby Marshall. Abby has been fascinated by  human movement for as long as she can  remember. She has enjoyed  movement especially in the forms of folk  dance, martial arts,  contemporary dance, yoga, and hiking. This led her  to earning her BSc  in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta. She's  been honoured to  help others improve their health and quality of life  through physical  activity within several populations including emergency  response  occupations, professional and varsity athletes, those with  permanent  disabilities, chronic health conditions, pregnancy, and all  ages. A  member of the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology since 2003, she is  a Certified Exercise Physiologist, a Certified Tobacco Educator, and a  300 hour Certified Yoga Instructor.
