    One year into his ROTC program, Guest Nick Ruffini was stamped undeployable due to a Crohn's disease diagnosis. Despite a specialist's assurances that Nick would be able to complete his training and serve with the right treatment, he was told his dream of a life of service was over, and his education, employment and long term life plans were all thrown out the window. Nick discusses the confusion and abandonment he felt as he was simply cast aside without any guidace on what he was supposed to do next, and illustrates for us the great cost in talent of letting these young people slip through the cracks.
