I signed my maiden name first before memorializing my new name. Elizabeth Madeline Darcy. Elizabeth Bennet lay dead on the altar of matrimony. HAVING SIGNED THE REGISTER as Elizabeth Darcy, the former Miss Elizabeth Bennet must somehow survive a crushing scandal as a stranger to herself. Her unwilling husband is so outraged to find himself tied to a person he thinks no better than a fortune hunter that she is forbidden to speak of the circumstances behind their union. Indeed, Mr. Darcy seems to loathe even the sound of her voice, and often Elizabeth's only recourse is to be silent.

Elizabeth Bennet could scarcely credit the news when a letter sent to her father, from relations she did not know existed, informed them that untimely and unfortunate events would result in Mr. Bennet inheriting the dukedom of Everard. In the blink of an eye, the Bennets' lives are transformed - Elizabeth and her four sisters are wealthy, titled, and the talk of the ton.

Orphaned and alone in the world, Elizabeth Bennet has found reasonable contentment as a companion to the dowager countess of Matlock, the affairs of 1811 and Fitzwilliam Darcy long forgotten. But the past intrudes upon her again, and Mr. Darcy returns to her, handsome, wealthy, and widowed, and hiding many secrets beneath his solemn exterior. But if time had altered their circumstances, one thing remains: Mr. Darcy still wishes to marry her, and this time, Elizabeth consents.

Is not the very meaning of love that it surpasses every objection against it? Jilted. Never did Mr. Darcy imagine it could happen to him. But it has, and by Elizabeth Bennet, the woman who first hated and rejected him but then came to love him - he believed - and agree to be his wife. Alas, it is a short-lived, ill-fated romance that ends nearly as soon as it has begun. No reason is given. More than a year since he last saw her - a year of anger, confusion, and despair - he receives an invitation from the Bingleys to a house party at Netherfield.

The moment he saw her at the assembly in Meryton, he knew he loved her. When Fitzwilliam Darcy meets Elizabeth bennet in the fateful autumn of 1811, their mutual infatuation is immediate and undeniable. Within months, they are married and spend a blissful winter at Pemberley, falling more deeply in love with each other than either might have imagined possible. But spring in London proves more challenging to them. Accident and artifice join to devastating effect for the young couple, destroying their felicity and creating an outcome neither might have imagined.

“Mr Darcy, I am eager to hear your explanation for the fact that quite a few people believe we are engaged.” It starts with a bit of well-meant advice. Colonel Fitzwilliam suggests to his cousin Darcy that, before he proposes to Elizabeth Bennet in Kent, perhaps he ought to discuss his plans with their families first. What neither man could have predicted however was that Lord Matlock would write the news to his sister, or that Viscount Saye would overhear and tell his friends, or that his friends might slip a little and let their friends know as well.

AFTER THEIR UNEXPECTED MEETING AT PEMBERLEY, Elizabeth Bennet believes that she and Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy have been afforded a second chance at love. Even with the news of Lydia Bennet's elopement with George Wickham could surely only delay their happily ever after. After his visit to Longbourn in the autumn, Mr. Darcy must go to London but promises to return within a fortnight. Elizabeth does not doubt an engagement will result then once he returns.

At the tender age of 12, Elizabeth Bennet vowed to protect her younger sisters from her parents’ neglect, brought on by their increasingly combative marriage. Jane is her partner in this endeavour - until her attention is diverted by the arrival of a handsome new neighbor, Mr Bingley. With him is his friend, Mr. Darcy, who Elizabeth first dismisses as taciturn and rude. But as she gets to know him, other feelings arise - ones destined to end in heartbreak.

Elizabeth Bennet anticipated nothing more than a pleasant day among friends and relations when the pleasure trip to the ruins of Bodden Chapel commenced. But what began as mere diversion turns frightening when the walls of the ancient church tumble down around them, endangering lives, demolishing pride and propriety, and bringing a hero into focus.

Banished from longbourn at a young age, Elizabeth Bennet is raised among the Fitzwilliams at the Romsley estate, growing up alongside Fitzwilliam Darcy and his cousins. Entering adulthood, Elizabeth soon finds herself in possession of a secret love for him that even she knows is futile, and she must settle for his friendship.

Fitzwilliam Darcy already has one arranged marriage in his past. The last thing he envisions for himself is another, yet he has somehow become entrapped in a promise to a dying man. Not only must Darcy overcome his resentment in order to live up to his sense of honour, but when he realises how deeply his heart may be engaged, he must convince Elizabeth Bennet of his true feelings.

Elizabeth Bennet knows that marrying a gentleman of high birth would allow her to reclaim the social status she lost when her father died. Having been approached by men falsely proclaiming their affection for her, she embraces the opportunity to set the terms of her marriage openly and honestly. After meeting Mr. Darcy and his sister, Elizabeth is determined to give them the home and care they deserve. Believing she and Mr. Darcy have a common understanding of what their union will be like, she has high hopes for a happy future.

How would spending a few extra days in each other’s company affect the relationship between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr Darcy? While her sister Jane is ill at Netherfield, Elizabeth overhears the proud Mr Darcy express his admiration of her and her fine eyes. Not sure what to think of his praise after all of their previous disagreements (and more flattered than she wants to admit) Elizabeth responds by teasing him, forcing Darcy to reconsider his opinion of a woman who has truly bewitched him.

Fitzwilliam Darcy has had enough—enough of the ton and their speculations, enough of matchmaking mamas and their eager daughters, and enough of his family’s expectations that he will eventually marry his cousin Anne. Craving solitude and peace after discovering his sister with George Wickham in Ramsgate, he accepts an invitation to visit Netherfield Park from his friend Charles Bingley and travels to Hertfordshire, where he hopes Georgiana will recover from her disappointment in relative privacy.

MR FITZWILLIAM DARCY'S FAMILY has decided it is time for him to select a wife and marry. To that end, Pemberley is suddenly inundated with eligible young ladies vying for his time and attention.
