The Zombie Wars have been going on for nearly a year. Reeling from a surprise attack, and with two fires burning out of control, Schriever Air Force Base goes on high alert. Destroyed in the conflagration was the Omega antiserum Fuentes had been working to perfect and just hours prior had tested successfully on one of the recently infected.

During the Upheaval, city after city fell to the Enillo Virus, filling the streets with ravenous ghouls. Not even the countryside was spared, as millions of the undead flowed over the land. As the day progresses, Howie becomes increasingly darker in thought, and more demanding of his team. By the end of the day they have discovered a munitions factory, but can Howie hold it together?

The war with the Azael has left the people of Estes Valley weakened and isolated in their mountain retreat.
