Walter Farley (1915-1989) var en amerikansk författare, som främst skrev hästböcker för barn. Han är särskilt känd för den internationella bestsellerserien om Den svarta hingsten, där Svarta hingsten kommer tillbaka (1945) är den andra i serien.
